Title: Risen Skeleton warriors, fresh off of the painting table
Post by: Halfbad on October 25, 2006, 06:21:07 PM
I think they came out pretty good, I had not painted them before. Are they too "clean?"

No, as a VC player in WHFB I am no fan of the dirty look. Sometimes you just want to paint the dang mini.

I agree, that is why they are left kind of bright. I figure the dark magic would strip their flesh or something, leaving the newly dead the same looking as the oldly dead.

They look cool.  Since the undead have lots of time on the hands ;D, whats wrong with them polishing their kit ::)

I think that they look very nice - not "too clean" at all.  If you wanted realistic, painte them brown.  If you want them to look cool on the board, then these fit the bill, nicely.

You got skills.   The kind of skills that make me feel unworthy of picking up a brush again.  I'll have to redouble my efforts.

I don't think "clean" is an issue.  Those are F'in great paintwork.

Cheers.

I do what I do. Thank you though, I am going to base them and throw them in the figure case.

Working on my Bauhaus next.

I would say base 'em up and they would look real good on any table.

I agree with the above comments.  The only thing they're missing are finished bases.

I didn't even notice the basing was plain black!!  I was too busy drooling over the paint skills.

I got them based up, but I ran out of batteries on my camera, and it is really 20 minutes to the store ( I live UP in maine). I will get some pics of them on some terrain soon.

Thank you for the nice comments! Lets see some other work up here!
