-
Well go on.
what happen.
-
So am I to guess that you obliterated each other, until only your highest LD model remained?
It must have been a long, long game.
-
Heh - sorry, got sidetracked...I will post more (along with pics) as soon as I have time to do so.

Boy do I ever know that feeling. :(
-
Dragoon Kaptain Stahl peered into the distance. Something glinted, reflecting the hard sun. "What the...there they are! Command, this is Patrol 5. Have sighted enemy! Engaging. Militia, guard right flank! Dragoons, on me!"
Jaeger Kaptain Beck hoped he'd chosen correctly. Man it was hot out here, and the only shade was up against the berms that still radiated enough heat to nullify any kind of relief. Noise. He motioned to the squad to remain still. M-50's barked, reaching oout at targets behind him. Damn! Too close. No time to change position...
Here we go:
Deployment, Initiative and Reveal
Jeff reveals his Admiral Colby's Guard (who don't need to make Enviro Rolls)
-
Closer shot of ACG making friends with the rock
-
The Militia hops up with the Rocket Launcher Specialist and starts putting lead downrange. Taking out a quick ACG or two, the rest go on Wait in Minimized Presence.
-
Dodge brings out his Infantry Colonel, and promptly finds a safe place for him to be. Hmmm...I though Capitol was aggressive. I must be confusing them with Cybertronic.
-
Dragoons take the high ground, and few shots at the ACG. A couple more drop. The Sniper peels off and takes position. The Forward Observer (red shoulder pad with yellow insignia) starts figuring coordinates.
-
Nathan Parrish makes the scene.
-
My Jaeger Kaptain deploys and readies.
-
Big Bob Watts...okay, now, it gets a bit more interesting. "God, we have a BUFF on the ridge at vector three six zero. I say again - BUFF on the ridge - three six zero."
-
Dodger reveals Light Infantry - this is gonna be fun!
-
The Hussars set up the mortar. Zeroing in on the LI, they oly manage two shots as they succumb to the desert heat.
-
The LI take casualties.
-
The Heavy Infantry makes its entrance. Luckily, terrain is preventing them from doing more than harrassing the Jeager Kaptain. He takes a wound, and is shaken up.
-
The Jaegers spring forth and unleash Hell. They clear out all the LI and a few ACG before the smoke clears - just in time for...
-
"We have Orcas approaching fast! Grab cover, now! I need fire support - NOW!"
-
The Orcas devastate the Jaegers. "Where's that damned fire support?! We're getting wasted, over here! Durand help us!"
-
"Hang tight, Kaptain. Get your men into cover." "Cover?! What do you suggest? Dig our graves, or run? I vote the latter!" "Get it together, Kaptain!" "There's nobody left but my Sergeant! We're falling ba..."
The Dragoons manage to take down one Orca and its HMG Rider, and put wounds on another while dealing with the sand gunking up weapons.
-
Big Bob advances, leading the HI towards the next ridge.
-
The ACG gets confident with the Orcas taking out the Jaegers.
-
"This is God. I have a target-rich environment. Engaging."
-
"Splash one Orca and rider. Holed the last one!!"
-
"SPLASH TWO! BOOM!"
-
"That guy's a walkin' tank! FIRE!"
-
"I'll frag this BUFF! Crap! COVER! My gun's jammed! FO - call the shot!" "I can't reach the mortart, sir! They aren't responding!"
-
" We trying, Kap! We're taking losses. Keep pouring it on that cannon with legs!"
-
"YEAH! Watts is down! I say again, Watts is DOWN! We got 'im, Kap. Kap? The Kaptain's down!"
-
The Militia mops up the ACG.
-
In all, a great game. I thought I was done for when the Orcas took out the Jaegers after they, themsellves, put a hurting on the LI and the ACG. Fortunately, the Sniper managed to take out two of thos ugly little humpers, the mortar finally got into it after Big Bob was down and took out the rest of the HI, and the dragoons were able to sling enough lead to get the Capitolists to turn tail and run.
Jeff managed to get my Leader (the Jaeger Kaptain) early on, but I was able to minimize losses and wound up with over half of my forces still on the board at the end.
-
well done sir.
-

So Capitol won? Congratulations.
Who was the Leader of Capitol?
-
I would assume that the Infantry Colonel was Capitol commander, where the Jaeger Kaptain was Bauhaus' (they are both at the top of their respective lists).
Great battle report btw dmcgee ;o)
-
Nice battle guys. Like the photo report.
-
So Capitol won? Congratulations.
Who was the Leader of Capitol?
Capitolian Leader was the Infantry Colonel, however, killing my "commander" did not give Dodge the edge in points. Normally, this would be an addition to the tourney point system, and seeing's as how I had almost half my forces left, there's no way Dodger outscored me.
-
Ah, you play with Victory Points. We play scenarios with a specific target. If you fullfill the target you win the game.
It doesn't matter how many models you have lost. So games become aggressive and fast.
I don't want to "correct" the Capitol Force, I just like to build forces for scenarios.
So here is what I would have fielded:
2x Squad Hvy. Inf. with Sniper
1x Squad Assault Marines with HMG and Hero.
1x Squad Wailing Banshees with Hero
2x Orca Mk III and 1x Orca MkV with AP
1x Colonel (Leader)
1x Big Bob
I would try to outlflank the enemy with the Wailings to get a shot on the opposing leader.
The Snipers always shot the leader, if they are able to.
The Orcas and Assaults are your protection shield for your leader.
Just my idea.

dmcgee1 great report and nice pictures :) of the game in progress.
Did the level 3 desert come into play much during the game? You mentioned the hussar mortor team sucoming to the heat any other effects that had a effect on the outcome at all?
-
Very nice report.
Enker, just outta curiosity, is a "hero" what we now call a "Captain"?
-PFC joe :)
-
Quite nice report. I appreciate the time you spent putting together the report.
Thanks,
John
