New Cartel Unit- Strike Team Green

  As mentioned in the Reena MacRae post, I came up with a couple of units for the Cartel while deployed... and I figure I should share in the concepts.

  Point costs are by no means solid but I think they are fairly close.  Playtest is the only way to be sure right now.

Strike Team Green
elite unit; 4-8 troopers plus sergeant; up to 3 specialilsts
Trooper:  cc9 rc9 pw5 ld13 ac3 mv4 s5 w1 ar19 pc 34
Sergeant: cc10 rc10 pw5 ld13 ac3 mv4 s5 w1 ar19 pc36
Shotgun Spec: as trooper, pc 36
Demolition Spec: as trooper, pc 35
Lt Flamer Specialist: as trooper, pc44

gear: Punisher Blade, Calix SMG (troopers)
gear: Punisher Blade, Calix SMG, Smoke Grenades (Sgt)
gear: Punisher PISTOL, Lt. Flamer (Fl Spec.) (up to one)
gear: punisher blade, Remington 12 shotgun (up to two)
gear: Punisher blade, Calix SMG, smoke grenades (Demo)

Abilities: CC Training 1, Infiltrate.  Sgt: add Tactical Sense
Demo Spec:  add Demolitions

  The Cartel's premere Black Ops stike team, skilled at pulling hostages out of trouble and taking the fight to the heart of the matter.  Called in when no Corporate forces are available and the job needs to get done


Calix SMG- a highly accurate SMG built exclusively for the Cartel
cc -2/pb +1 (2)/sr +1(2)/md -1 (1)
dmg 9

Remington 12 shotgun- use stats for Cybertronic shotgun


recommended models- Games Workshop Cadians, with the LasRifle cut down.  Lt Flamer can be a Mortant flamer or you can build one

These are from old post of mine.
I would have like to see the agents part of the cartel list built up (I thought it made the army list stand out from the others) though I like the idea of peacekeepers getting a elite unit.

I'm at work with some free time. So I decided to write down a pipe dream of mine.
few here on the board know of my love for cartel agents ( kug-fu agents sooooo swweeeett ). So I dare to dream of a few new troop concepts to add to the list.
I know this is a very selfish post and not very useful the to the masses but post it anyway for the the very few who might care.

my dream for new cartel agents:

1. agents with a non-template shotgun not the pellet shot stuff, solid slug baby. little extra range with a punch.

2. cleaners: a new individual type, just single uber kung fu(or gun-fu) agent. Might make for a kool looking model something like a pistol in each hand in a runnning posse/ or standing tuff and shooting. All kinds of kick A**.

3. roomsweepers: agents with submachine guns. I can hear all those spent shells hitting the ground.

4.psi ops: tried of brotherhoods claim to fame (the arts) the cartel has a black book project in developing agents with powers to combat the dark powers and brotherhood spies. I see them using the classic mind powers: telepathy, mind over matter etc. etc.

5. black ops 'copter/hover .   everyone else gets some kool machines. its time for cartel to ride in style.  See this either as a flying troop transport or a oneman attack craft.

6. black ops van. just a simiple troop transport. maybe with some equipment to help spot those pesky hidden units.

So are they any crazy pipe dreams you like to see for the game.

  No problem.  I'd like to test these out sometime... I recently built a five-man squad of them  I need to scratch-build a light flamer or custom a shotgun before trying the specialists.  I think I have a few loose bolters to experiment with.

  Slug rounds had been discussed and had been on the playtest list for sometime.  It was to have debuted in the DoomTrooper Mission expansion game (ala Siege of the Citadel) Kassing and I cooked up.

  for experiment, try the following: pb +0 sr-1/ dmg shotgun dmg x2 (ie: Cap Shotgun is dmg 8 so it would be 8x2) @ +2 points a model.

  Hmmm.....  Gunfighter Rule.  Was also to be in the DT expansion.  I think a character can be cooked up for this as a cmapaign leader.... Gimme a few days to balance one up.

  See Strike Team Green. :)  I also modeled an agent with the Hood LMG for first edition games/doomtrooper missions.  He was fun to field.

John great squad idea. Stats are good  Give the Sgt UBGL, Use the stats for the Hellstorm Smg (Cartel could use the AV-2), For Specialist use 2 Shotgun, 1 LFT, and I'd go with a Demo Spec. One last thing should have Paradeploy or Infiltrate not both. I'd go with infiltrate. Just my opinion. Phil

Sounds good... but the Hellstorm is for a different unit, I'm thinking.  Maybe an upgrade to the Secuurty Police

 adjusting entry.

You dont have to use the Hellstorm just the stat line for your gun.

Ok I just was going over some old posts and i just notice this for the frist time a Cartel Agents Troop transport that causes Dire affect is just too Kool an idea  8)

if it´s a support choise i suggest adding a weapon!
what about the "last action hero" style gatlin gun sticking out of the side? (->90% arc to the left or right (or both?)

it there is no weapon and just the agents shooting i think it is not worth it.. may have style, but no teeth..

as weapon: just a HMG would still be far worse than a MHMG, but as a close-delivery feature it would work..

if it´s a support choise i suggest adding a weapon!

Sometimes its all about style  8) sleek black transport is the kind of style Agents dig.

It's really cool to see the Cartel's being build upon.  The old list lack a certain, pizazz, and with these new units, it really gives the Cartel character and a wicked edge.
