Availability of things in the catalog
« on: September 25, 2005, 08:26:16 AM »
At Gen Con last year the EE booth had a card listing the Machinator MK II HMG Specialist blister. Now the online catalog lists it again. Is this mini available or is this a back order/ pre-order item, and if so will such items be listed as such in the future?

I believe it is available.  I saw them at Dex Con.  However, I'm not sure if it is Dex Con.  It was couple months back and somewhere in north Jersey.

That would interest me as well. But there was no green or pictures I`m aware of.

So I hope it exists and avaialable - and a picture would be very helpful.

Well I guess I'll order one and see if it's real.

The HMG will be available around the end of this month.

Keep your eyes on the new release section of our website for updates.

thanks

Like in 3 days or like in 33 days? It's like the 27th day of a 30 day month.

The "end of this month" seems pretty self-explanatory to me. Perhaps a smiley would have made this post less acerbic.

The models we were planning on releasing earlier this month have had to wait while we fixed the site and deal with the other issues that crept up.

As I said this was an item I was going to pick up at the 2004 Gen Con, but Lance informed me that it was not out yet and would be some time soon. 14 months later it appears in the online catalog without any fore warning, a green, or a finished picture. If you read spite and vitrol in my last question that was all your doing, I was just trying to get an idea if it would be shipped if I ordered it in the next week or two. The surveiler was in a stage of what appeared to be finished metal months ago and it is not in the catalog. All of this I find a little confusing. If it isn't koesher to ask questions about what is actualy available then I will not be ordering anything.

Ving -

You acheived your stated objective in your first post. Everything after that was pure vitrol. I understand that you feel that the company has been remiss but trolling for a fight isn't going to help. Try treating the new site as a new beginning for the company. They seem to be trying - meet them halfway

I don't know what Lance said to you Ving. Obviously it was a while ago and not something I know about. I am not sure what card you saw. Suffice it to say the new model is being finished. I believe it is not the same one we had mentioned at that show. Your initial question was a fair one.

Taken at surface level, your reply to Jon smacked of intent. Since you were asking us to clarify that is how I took it. I am letting you know how it came across. If you didn't mean it to be that way, you might have tried a smiley. That is why I said that. As for why the model appeared in the catalog that is because I am programming in the models that are being finished along with the older ones.

Well, IMHO the most important thing is to know they are coming out soon.  ;D

To tell the truth I was confused myself too - while browsing the catalogue I saw items I was not aware were made.  Normaly we hear about them or even see some greens.

But it would not be the first time that out of the clear blue sky a release of nice goodies comes  ;)

It could be helpful to signal somehow these items are not yet released (like price set to 0 or not yet released.) to avoid confusion.

As for previous "almost-releases" lets assume its a new beginning.  ;)

There was no intention to offend anyone untill my intent was questioned. Saying something will be out by the end of the month when there are three days left in the month seemed a little strange. I was honestly questioning if someone had lost track of what day of the month it was.

Just forget the whole thing, I'll never mention it again. I was just trying to get a straight answer before I placed an order. A moot point now.

Looking at the original date on this thread, the current date, the online catalog, and the new release section I feel a little vindicated in the karma department.

Well since I am one of the most infamous (or at least the most smitten  :D ) I thought I might as well ask, is there a picture of the Machinator MK II HMG Specialist showing that it is finnished or are we just going forwards with the catalog as proof?

Where is the Surveiler? There was a picture of it done in metal before one of the many "hackings" years ago. Was it lost in one of the many "hackings"???

I am not asking any thing that is unreasonable, in fact I am asking a hell of a lot less of EE than I would any other website that may handle my credit card numbers.
