Hmmm....

Interesting.  Very interesting... and I can't see too much a fault with your logic other than it really does make teh Hood pretty damn brutal if this is correct.

I'll have to bring this up to Thom when I should chat with him again.  He (as do I) plays Brotherhood.

It just might be time to redesign The Brotherhood.   :-\

No,do not redesign them.

Let me just get my bunch of dusting minis and lets kick som ass.
Just agree with me and let me have fun for lets say two or three months at least.......please.

OK , no whining here.

That would get Brotherhood out of the dark tunnels they had to hide in...
Would be funny. I really do think at this moment that the OBA doesnīt make this much DAM since it comes the following turn and the opponent can run the hell away from it. And truth to tell regarding the costs of the BH Army doesnīt let me think, that thereīs a possibility to be able to activate after all opposing units have activated. Normally your opponent has an activation mor and can run.......; but the idea of area denieing and pushing the opponent to the blades and spears with Artillery rolling them forward appeals to me ;-)

I meant redesign my Brotherhood force to take advantage of your insight and tactical genius. In your honor I shall call my newly redesigned Brotherhood force The Lopisian Inquisition. Karma to you for having the monster brain to figure this all out.  ;D

OK as reading it over and over again I can answer one of the questions myself:

Seems that you at least have to have (had) a "real" Force commader:

Qoute pg 58:
As mentioned only a Force Commander can grant the
release authority for a Fire Mission. If the Force Commander is
killed, gaining authorization for the Fire Mission is extremely
difficult.

It reads like a bit of fluff, but lets assume its true:

So still some answers to go ;-)

Why shouldn't the normal Fire Mission rules apply to the Brotherhood?
The Chanclers are the Forward Observers of the Brotherhood.
Not more or less.
So why should the Brotherhood be able to ignore the 16'' restriction and
the restriction that you cannot bring your Fire Mission closer as the closest
enemy model in?

I (hope I) never said that the rule of targeting farther away than the nearest enemy model does not apply to the  channelers.

And because the arenīt all Forward Obswervers (SA) but acting in an way as these for calling Fire Missions.

But sure you could also apply the 16 inches to them. The question ist if you have to....
