Longbow of Fire-Runes

Question: "Immune to hand held Missile Weapons" of the Risen, also works against the "Longbow of Fire-Runes" of Warriors of the Sun?  ???

I read a battle report in a fanzine where the players agreed that the Risen were immune to the basic bow´s damage but not to the flame effect (which gives a x2 modifier), so they busted the x2 bonus down to x1 when hitting Risen. Seemed to work right.

That is not how it works. Fire damage is just a type of damage, like Cold damage, and the Stygian take additional effect against Cold, and some demons are 'immune to fire' thus are immune to fire damage. So those fire based arrows wont effect the demon, and if they were cold they would have an added effect on stygian. So no, you cant damage Risen with those fire arrows, unless players 'agree' to, but that is not how it works with the rules as written.
