speculative shot questions

its says you need forward observer to do a speculative shot (as per the fire mission rules).
Dark legions channelers are the forward observer for their fire missions.

does this mean a Dark legion channeler can spot for the unholy carronade.

cause if this the case, that would be crazy kool

Yes they can spot for the Carronade.

While the channelers do act as FOs there is one small problem with that,

the Carronade, like all cannons,  is Direct Fire only.  You can not do spec fire with a Carronade.

as far as I can remember, other than a handfull of grenades and UBGLS, the DL doesn't have any indirect fire weapons.  Which is probably a good things as half their troops are either dead and therefore dumber than a doorknob or immoral and as much a danger to their own forces as anyone elses.

Yeah, I'd had a similar idea and had similarly disabused myself of the idea after some quick fact checking.
