Warzone Resurrection Capitol Vehicle (95K)
« on: March 30, 2013, 12:03:28 PM »
We pass 90K. It is time to discuss the 95K CAPITOL vehicle.

What will it be?

Orcas or even better APC 105 Hound Dog, AFV 110 Desert Fox, AFV114 Montana, AFB 97 Rat, or Bug 400 with HMG?

Pegasus Scout Bikes and Great Grey would surprise me to get an own pledge level because for that they are too weak.

Large flyers like the Manta and Grapeshot/Guardian helicopter, Aerofortress, Cobra and many more are hard to handle.

I would love to see APC 105 Hound Dog, AFV 110 Desert Fox or AFV114 Montana. What would you like to see?

We are talking about a heavy vechicle that is going to match the Grizzly. I think we will se the Desert Fox or a Guardian helicopter.

A gunship like the Guardian would be sweet but it would change the game a lot. Don’t know if I like it but Prodos still has time to develop decent rules for vehicles of all kinds.

The Montana would be a perfect counterpoint to the Grizzly.  Seeing two monstrous tanks duking it out on the field would be awesome.  I'd also like to see what Prodos can do with a largely blank canvas and the Montana seems like a great place for that since it has very few art assets to depict it unlike the Grizzly and EDD.  But another expensive super-tank for all of those Capitol-types would bring in a lot of extra cash and it would look dynamite on the table.

In the first edition rules, under that Capitol section there's a picture of a tank with what looks to be a cow catcher and a built up turret; is that the Montana class tank we're talking about?

I think it is the Desert Fox but I could be wrong.

Although I would live to see some big helicopter I don't really think it will fit in well with the skirmish game to start with a ground based vehicle will be better to start with and would probably get more use out of it that a helicopter.

A larger updated Orca would be fun with a bit more protection for the gunner at the back perhaps as a shielded turret as suggested previously.

Looks like we are going to be getting the Orca  :)  I like the look of it a bit more armoured and less windows than the last version and I like the gunner coming out of the top rather than totally exposed on the back. Will be interesting to see if the guns/rockets on the side are fixed or whether there will be different sets of weapons.

When I compare it with the Orca it has far more weapons on it.

They need a flyer, if only to make a point that they can afford air cav support ;)

They have the Purple Shark and I would be surprised if the Great Grey won't be part of Capitol, too.

You can't say they have no air force.

I know they have purple sharks, but I'm talking about something bigger.
