Okay a quick update I  just put some base colours on the minis with no shading or highlighting but you can get the general feel of the colour schemes the camera has bleached out the colours a little will do better lighting on the finished ones.

Last but not least The Crescentia's War Party

Some Jihad troopers (not all the base colours have been added yet)

Ahah - great! Only id paintedem as dark skinned.

P.S.: Imagine a
remodeling as lion rider!

It would be a nice idea but I think I've got my hands full ATM painting any/all of the tribes.

On another note I was thinking about the base colours for the 3 fractions,

SOR  - a grey industrial rubble base
Crescentia War Parties -  An Arid/desert base
The Templars - a mixture of the above two bases arid with industrial waste.

any thoughts?

Maybe swap the Templar base idea to use for the Rasputins. Their environment comes across as more virulent and toxic.
"Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us."

Okay done some more work of the figures  I can't get the lighting right in the photgraphs at the moment as it seems to make them darker and bleach out some of the details and makes them look flat but you get the idea

Semai,  try shooting the pictures with a darker background, that will help with your lighting.

...and the figs look great!   Your shading looks very good, and I like your color choices.

Soldat Banner & LMG

On another note what should I write on the banner "Prague XII" or another city what was the name of the city that was wiped out by the Dark Legion

MadBrad Cheers for the feedback, I'm quite pleased overall on the colour schemes, I think the Jihad troopers have come out the best, I enjoyed painting them.

I'll have a go with a darker background for the pictures. The shoulder pads on the SOR are darker in the middle dark khaki drab like but more bone like on the rim.  Also the pictures are quite large if they were a 1/4 of the size that would be more like the originals.  I've also noticed I've not done the nails on the Templars yet  ::)

Yep I'll keep spamming the boards with my update posts  ;D ;D ;D ::) ::)

I've decided to do all the bases in one go when I've finished this last lot of figures.

No takers on what city the Soldats should be from I was thinking Zurich as it was destroyed by the Dark Soul in the old fluff.
