You'll have to inform us how it all looks and even more importantly, how it plays!

Project Update #78: Alternate Kara stat card
Posted by CoolMiniOrNot Like

Now that shipping is underway, here's a link to alternate Kara's stat card, the resin version included in Biohazard and above pledges.

http://www.coolminiornot.com/images/kickstarter-sw/ALT-Kara_Black_v3.pdf

That's a high res version suitable for printing, and the JPEG version is below.

For EU based backers, HM (no S) customs is still saying they are backlogged so we've gone ahead and shipped everything else today, and your Karas will follow once the government figures out that they're harmless.  Just one of those things, please accept our apologies for the wait.

With any luck, everyone, everywhere will have their games this week, except maybe Australia / New Zealand which takes a little longer to transit.

 Still waiting

1700 or so out last week in the USA, we might be seeing ours soon.

Clearing my painting table for this, I will be running scenarios at dreamation for it. This does not stop anybody else from running it also, I'm only running one slot of it, so if you want to get in I think they are accepting GMs for a little while longer.

Been playing Blackwater gulch (rules are free), very simple cool game!

Really looking forward to seeing this box on my steps....

Got mine and am assembling, it's a nice overall package.  I am a bit disappointed with the plastic personally, but others say it's fine.  The game looks great though overall, I hope to get to play the first mission Sunday.

You'll be needing to fill a fair few figures as well as boil a handful of them, they do not fit together properly.  All the complex strain models are warped in some way.  The only thing I can think is they pulled the figs from the molds while they were hot so they warped.  Even some of my one piece models had to be heated as the feet were horribly crooked.  Pity to ruin such nice figures with shoddy casting.  A lot don't matter that they are warped, but feet are important.

Also, the Biohazard cards are a different size and colors are different.  The tokens in my set of off-cut (not as bad as first edition SDE, but still losing a smidge of graphics on most of them)

I personally expected a bit more from them in terms of quality control for the components, however it was a steal for the price I paid.

Now, from reading the rules and looking over everything the game mechanics look top notch, even my wife was impressed with the rulebook layout, it is nice and easy to follow.

There is a level of shock when you get a game of this magnitude.  He'll recover eventually.

Could you post some description? I´ve read what little of the background they provided on the site (which didn´t go very far), and I´m curious.

It looks like a modernised Space Hulk / Space Crusade / Fury of the Clansmen / Siege of the Citadel to me, judging from the pictures. (I´m an avowed fan of those games.)

What did you think of the minis now you have them, I was quite pleased with my set to be honest and a lot less mold lines on them than people were saying and a lot less than my dreadball figures.

Do you plan to fix them to the bases and then paint them or paint both separately? I personally am looking at painting them separately as the bases are really nice.
