ORIGINS 2010
« on: April 12, 2010, 05:46:04 PM »
Hi Forum! It's been awhile since I've posted but, I'm still staying involved with the hobby. What can I say, it's in my blood. Anyway, with a little help from some of my friends, we'll be offering several events both UWZ and Chronopia at this years Origins. Just wondering if we can expect any of you seasoned vets to be there getting involved?

Due to wedding and getting settled I am unable to attend. Southpaw and Coldthunder chose my wedding over going so I am touched by their gesture but sad they will not be there to play/help. I hope that all of the forumites going to Origins will stop by, play a agame and say hi to Glenn and the crew.

I always wanted to go. I would have to car pool with a fellow gamer and plan well in advance. My problem - Historicon is much closer for me.

Historicon isn't more Warzone/Chronopia than you can shake a stick at - Origins is. Besides if you've never been to Origins then you should go....nay you must go

OK, will most likely be next year if I go. I will have to see if I can carpool with a fellow gamer here.

Tim for next year I might be interested in going, since I've never been there myself.

I'm aware that not too many (if any) of you are planning on going to Origins "this year" however, in case you were curious, this is a synopsis of what we will be running.

UWZ

This Land is My Land - In an effort to gain a foothold on Dark Eden, the Cult and Cartel fight over an abandoned town. But are they alone?
Thurs at 12 pm & Fri at 8 pm

Bad Moon Rising - Named heros attempt to stay alive while battling hordes of zombies! (TopKicks scenario taken straight from the UWZ book)
Fri at 12 pm & Sat at 5 pm

The Final Battle - A combined Corporation Defense Force attempts to hold off a Dark Legion assault on Mars.
Sat at 8 pm

Chronopia

The Road Less Traveled - Running late to a piece conference, the judge takes a short cut through the badlands.
Thurs at 7 pm & Fri at 5 pm

Last Chance for Peace, Again! - The Triad meets with the First Born and SOK but the elves are missing!!!
Fri at 8 pm & Sat at 12 pm

Surprise Party – The Devout infiltrate a First Born outpost.
Sat at 8 pm
If you shoot for the moon and miss, you are still among the stars.

Thanks for the kudos on Bad Moons Rising Glenn, but all I did was remember the scenario from an old magazine article and give it a name from one of my favorite Creedence Clearwater Revival songs

Regardless, you're the one who brought it into the UWZ universe. So, you still deserve some credit. Besides, it's an awesome scenario when you're in the mood for something fast, simple and hilarious!

Dave, Dodger, Thom, Archer, Josh?

I am interested, but cannot commit, just now.  I will know better in February.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!
