Spartan Games at it again...
« on: November 06, 2010, 03:00:47 PM »
Looked at my Warstore news letter and what do I see?  Looks like spartan games is at it again.  This time it is Steam Punk World War with Ships and tanks, both of an absolute ridiculous size.  And it called Dystopian Wars

This does look really cool...
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Their other games are getting a lot of buzz, so I assume the system is a good one.  Nice to see them branching out to new genres.  I will have to check and see what their figs look like.

Those a frickin cool looking. Like the Zeppelin idea for carriers.
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.
What do you mean Flash Gordon approaching? OPEN FIRE!
The entire Capitol Army.
Don't ever say anything but a 20 before rolling the dice.

They have capably filled niches that have been in a void for quite a while.   Uncharted Seas replaces Man-O-War.  Firestorm Armada is the only current 'serious sci-fi' space combat game in production (that I can think of) that has its own rule set.  Dystopian Wars looks cool as all get out and hearkens back to Space: 1889 and other steampunk titles.
