For the tassle/hair I used Kommando Khaki and I'm considering dry brushing Dragon Gold on it and then black washing.

Does anyone know what the current "Flesh Wash" is? I only have my bottle from 10 years ago and it's running low :)

The GW washes are pretty good.  I highly recommend them.  I think you would want to try the "Delvan Mud" (kinda dark) or "Gryphonne Sepia" (dries with a kinda light/gold tint) or even "Ogryn Flesh" (which has a redish tint to it).

If those don't do it for you I have had good results with Game Ink colors/inks/washes.  You might want to check 'em out.
Total models painted for the year 2011: 14

2010- 294 (fail)

It's been a while since I've posted any updates. Hope everyone is having a nice Winter :) Good time to get a lot of painting done. Here was my view for the majority of February

I have completed the Firstborn Mounted Knight and Mounted Axeman but I forgot to take a pic of them before I gave them back to their owner. Here are shots of what they looked like before I completed them.

Here is an update on how I've changed the Iron Guard:

and finally here is what an Elf War Killer is shaping up to look like. Crystal House of course.

and now with the finer detail update and some touch-ups. I've used 2 little gems that keep falling off one of my gf's shirts. Eventually I'll have many of these ::) I'm thinking of moulding around the gems so they don't just jut out oddly. I dry-brushed some Silver in the smoke on the shield, it really pops out when you see it in the light. It's something I'm having difficulty capturing in photos.

Hey it's been a while... hope everyone had a great summer. I've completed an Adamantite Golem which is below. I have a lot of models currently on the go including a dragon riding a chopper that I bought in Vegas. Can't seem to stay focused on the same units every time I paint. Soon I will post updates on the following:

Vulture Crossbowmen
Dark Tusk Totem (x2)
Horned One Spearmen
Horned Skull Champion
Dark Tusk Hero
Firethrowers (x3)
Iron Guard squad
Dragon clan slaves
Elven Axemen
Obsidian Guard (x2)
Crystal Knight
Flying Dragonbane
Greatsword Followers (x lots)
Soulflayer

I haven't posted anything here in over 5 years. Shortly after my last post, I moved and all of my minis have remained packed until last weekend. I decided to throw some paint on my SoulFlayer and try to complete one of my Tormented. Went with a retro 80's sort of colour scheme on top of some soon to be leathery flesh. The Tormented has some of that leather action going on too.  ::) Here's some pics

Cool thanks for posting.
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.
What do you mean Flash Gordon approaching? OPEN FIRE!
The entire Capitol Army.
Don't ever say anything but a 20 before rolling the dice.
