Great work!
Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.
What do you mean Flash Gordon approaching? OPEN FIRE!

So I was able to finish the Marksman in 1 sitting. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Here are the final set of pics for it with the base completed

Thank you. I like this colour scheme for Firstborn minis...

Here's an update on the War Chariot. I plan on making the base look more like a path or road. The rider has no detail on it's face now but I'll fix that :)

The color combos definately work together nice job.  What are you using for the base "filler"?  I usually use spakle or some other wet work substance and use a bit of water to smooth out the edges.

Looking forward to more updates.

For the base I used a lid from a container of screws and then gave it texture using Poly Urethane. Recycling from work  ;D

No offense intended, but the base looks like it was textured with green cake icing, what with all the little peaks and all!

It's been a while since I've posted any updates. I am now using this thread as a paint log for everything instead of just Firstborn. I have begun work on my new Dwarf and Devout armies.

I couldn't decide between 2 colour schemes so I decided to use both.

Link appears to be broken
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Here's an update on the Iron Guard I started ages ago but I wasn't comfortable with the blue steel colour scheme I had. I changed it to what's been looking great so far and I can't wait to get a pic with a decent sized army in the same scheme. It reminds me of my Capitol days about 12 years ago, that American army scheme was fun to work with  :o

The close-up shot is an attempt to "show-off" the metallic look I have so far. Base coat of Codex Grey and then I dry-brushed some Boltgun Metal on top. The armour has a more realistic shine to it, which is hard to pick up on my camera with poor lighting :)

I will be changing that gold bonnet to black, it's distracting!

If you do decide to paint the bonnet black I would paint the raised edges of his shoulder guards with the gold color to help balance the gold "edging" on his knee pads/guards. (just my opinion)

I like the color scheme as it's dark in a kinda "noble knight" way.  What color are you going to paint the tassle on his spear weapon?
