I do enjoy it.
I will add this caveat however, that at first I wasn't a fan. The problem I feel was mine. I think I went into episode one expecting a more historical representation of the character (like Rome/ Kirk Douglas) and what I got was a very fictionalized story with a highly stylized cinematography (ala 300). I was taken very much aback.
I think I came around once I was able to switch gears in my own head and see it as simply a serial set in the Roman times with 300 style filming. Now, with no expectations other than to be entertained I am quite enjoying it. What has been a pleasant surprise for me (based on my initial reactions) was the clever plot twists and machinations that occur and surprise me occasionally. The fight scenes are nice and there is a certain visceral appeal there. Nudity sure, but I have not found it over the top yet. To be fair, there was a certain ramp up time for the story and plot to get moving but by episode 3 I was a fan.
Glad some others are trying it.
