Turn 11
Pouring everything they have into the back of the remaining Maculator, the Red Devils take down the beast before it can turn on them.  The Ashigaru in the jungle sacrificed their lives keeping beast busy as the Elite Paratroops found a weakspot on it's back.

The Nepharite makes it to the Shrine and prepares to summon up a Void Gate.

Turn 12

The Crimson Devils hustle across the bridge realizing they are the only ones left capable of stopping the Nepharite.

Several long range shots get lucky and the two remaining Necromutants go down.

The Nepharite Sylph opens a Void Gate on the Shrine and prepares to summon the ancient Nepharite.

Turn 13

Mishima wins the initiative and uses all their APs to fire on the Nepharite before she can finish her incantation.  Bullets riddle the Nepharites body and as she dies the Void Gate closes up sealing Revaan into his Spirit Chamber once more.

Victory For Mishima! and the Crimson Devils!

After gunning down the remaining Razide, the Crimson Devils recover Amaretsu's body to find she's still alive.  They call for a medical evac as the rest of Lord Maru's forces arrive on Yuri Island.

Great report, CK!  Love the camera angles - very cool terrain too. Sounds like it was a real battle of attrition that came down to the wire.

Cool scenario objectives also.  I love creative battles like this that tell a story. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, the scenario sort of came up as I was going setting up my stuff.  At first I wanted to play Mishima, then I needed an opponent.  Friends on Facebook recommended the usual suspects (Capital, Bauhaus, etc), and I decided to try out my painted but never played Illian stuff.  While building up the Illian forcelist I came up with the scenario and while putting together the scenario and playing the game, the story sort of unfolded.

Things got a little crazy in the end when casualties were mounting.  I actually had 2 units break and run.  A pair of Ashigaru that finally gave up the fight and ran off the board (even after standing up to 2 Mercuring Maculators and taking one down!) and a lone Child of Illian that ran comically across the battlefield and across the bridge right past the advancing Crimson Devils.  The Illian Dark Gifts of Dark Lightning was pretty devastating and the Void Gate was especially nasty (I use that , aka Warp Gate, a lot when playing Koralon with Urban War / Metropolis).

While setting up the battlefield I realized I needed a river.  As I was playing solo I figured I could wing it for now.  I did stop by my local FLGS only to find the Pegasus Hobbies stuff (which I found to be rather poorly done, and probably wouldn't look much better if I repainted it, and the JR Miniatures stuff she had was all for 15mm (watch the Razide jump over the creek!).  However this weekend, while I had the cars out of the garage and table and scroll saws out to help CdtKiley with her school project, I cut up some MDF board to make some modular river sections.

Nice Battle report!

Where is that bridge from?  I definitely need two or three of those.

Thanks again for the compliments.

Yes the bridge is the Pegasus Hobbies Tech Bridge.  I bought two of them and it may have an extra section in it to make it longer.

I bought a bunch of the pegasus scenery - their stuff is great and very reasonable!
