Hey guys, as requested, I've posted up my 'Mutant Terror Bird' for pre-order!  Details here on my section of the forum:  http://forum54.oli.us/index.php/topic,6216.0.html

The figure should make a good Vulture Totem proxy, at least a first edition one!

The Chainmail Dwarves were sculpted by Roy Eastland the same sculptor which did most of the Dwarf line(the best ones).I think they tend to be on the small size compared with the Chronopia Dwarves.
The Chainmail Dwarves are very nice I have got quite a few now myself. They have a cool little Ninja type.
I used a Chainmail Dwarf for my Vulture Marksman conversion. He is post some place on here.

Time for an update..

The Talon Lord is nearly done.  Just needs a spray of sealer and add some grass to the base.  I decided to go with a bronze-like color for the metal on his weapon.  To match, I used the same color on his key, and re-did the rivets on his wings (they were red before).  I thought it would help him stand out on the battlefield.  Wondering what you folks think of that color choice....

Also, the Mallet Warriors are primed and ready to get some paint!

I seal before the grass.  just two coats of Testor's Dullcoat.  I don't play very often so that is enough protection.

The Talon Lord looks great!   The bronze color will make him stand out, which I think is good because from what I've read in the book these guys "bring the pain".

I like it, period.  The bronze is "red enough" to compliment the green color you have chosen and in my opinion satisfies the color wheel gods.  (Not that my opinion means anything...your models = your creativity.)   Nice work on the staff part of his weapon too.  A good job overall.

I'm curious as to what color/brand of primer you used on the Mallet Warriors, as it kinda looks metallic.

Right now I'm using just some rust-oleum Painters Touch black primer.  It isn't really metallic in person, I think the lighting is playing tricks.  I've been bouncing around a few different brand of primer over the last few years and really haven't settled on a favorite.

Ah, ok.  I have always had good luck with "ColorPlace" interior/ exterior , fast dry Spray Paint (Flat primer coat).

It has a blue and white label and can be found at Wal-Mart for 96 cents a can.  I always walk up to the counter with an arm load and a wicked "gremlin" like smile.  Can't understand why I get a funny reaction from the clerk... ???

I use the Armory  primers. Not as expensive as G.W>'s but a whole lot better IMHO.

Ask Dave. Really good coverage and flat flat flat

Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

Looking good, I really need to get some dry looking Static grass myself, it looks great.

Slow and steady gets the job done and the final product was worth the wait!
VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!
