Modular City Board - WIP
« on: December 01, 2009, 03:35:12 AM »
Ok, so this isn't really for Warzone per say, however, it is Sci-Fi and it could be used for Warzone, if I played . . . . .

Been working on a modular City board for AT-43 and thought you chaps would like to take a looksee.

Later,
Glenn

It's off to a darn good start!

Looks like some Hirst molds in good use.

That building is for the opposite side.  The opposite side of the sci-fi board will be a fantasy board.

Glen - you beat me to it.

I started one of those over a year ago and then work took over - go man, go!  Maybe you'll inspire me to finally finish mine.

As i started to create terrain pieces some time ago, i also had an idea of modular city board. and this is how it looks now. Pictures are taken with cellphone camera at the start of different battles. I have only few buildings so far, but still we are able to create sligthly different layout everytime we play. Maybe in future i will be able to build some more taller buildings, but in this phase, i have quite a problem storing the whole city in my room.

Last city picture has the jungle in it due to the scenario played. It is not that I didn't have more buildings finished :)

Hope I haven't inconvenienced somebody by posting these here. I didn't want to make new thread.

Great job on that catwalk on the building - what's it made of.

The whole city is built of materials that you can find at home. The catwalk is built out of cardboard, supports are cut from drinking straws and banisters are made of skewers.

I so much love playing in congested urban environments!

Great job!
Back in my day we didn't have that fancy non-toxic pewter stuff.  We played with lead, LEAD I TELL YA! and we liked it.
