"Avatar" choppers as proxies for Capitol?
« on: November 29, 2009, 02:09:18 PM »
I haven't seen the toys yet, but based on the TV trailers, those choppers would make sweet Capitol proxies.
What do you all think? Has anyone seen the toys yet? Scale?

I've had my eyes on those if the come out but I have not seen any beyond the powered suits and the regular action figures.

The flying / helicopters look like a CAV model. I guess it depends upon the scale.

Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

Actually, I've looked at the Avatar line at Target.  I haven't seen an airship of any sort.  Powered mech, flying creature and horse-like creature, but not a powered flying vehicle.

They have them on Amazon.com for about $26.  Not sure of the size but certainly large enough for 28mm.

They have them at toysrus for 27.99. It takes a 3-1/2 inch tall action figure as pilot. Box is sealed but picture on back looks like it would be ok size.

Sounds like it might work. Tint/black out the canopy windows so that the size of the seat/controls don't give it away, and it would be Jake Kramer's new ride!
