I plan on signing up this weekend. Not sure what (1) game I will sign up for when I register since you are allowed to sign up for one when you pre-reg.

I will be there after work on Friday and plan on staying to Sunday late morning/early afternoonish.

Gun-Moll and I went last year.  not bad really... if you like historical, it is the event to go to.

Check your six is getting a good following there.  Usually some flames of war too.

If you can get in any of the games that use 2HourWargame systems or TooFatLardies... I recommend it.

Anything Stargrunt or Dirside II as well... solid systems.

Thanks, I will try those. I was also going to try Flames of War. I prefer WWI and WWII over older based games.

I have located a near-by game store in the Lancaster area. Six Feet Under. I will try to check it out when at Historicon. It looks like they will be open 24/7 for the convention. Anyone know if there are Warzone/Chronopia or CAV figures there?

Since I will get to Historicon after 6:00pm this Firday (registration closed) I will most likely visit the game store Six Feet Under.

I will look to see if any figures (Warzone/Chronopia/CAV etc) are there.

That is unless I can sneak into Historicon and hang out with friends. I will not participate since I would not have a badge until the next morning.

Got back from Historicon on Sunday. I had a vacation day yestrerday so I did not update the thread.

Wow what a convention. A different crowd but really a lot of fun.

It was well run, organized and everyone seemed to be having alot of fun. It was very easy to get distracted at the flea market, huge vendor's hall and numerous displays.

I was able to walk up and play a game Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Besides that I spent most of my time in the vendor's hall (it was more like a wharehouse), flea market and walking around checking out several different games.

If you like you history I highly recommend this event. I played mainly 25mm games and was able to catch up with alot of old friends who I used to game with.
Some of the painting diplays were beyond description. I also found a really neat resin casting of a trench system. I was able to purchase for a great price enough flock, static grass for a Mars board (modular) I would like to work on for the next Talamania.

They also had alot of Gale Force Online items buy one get one free. The pictures on the website (Historicon) do not give it proper justice.
Next year it will be held in Baltimore (convention center). I am trying to swing going to Cold Wars early next year.

Sadly, I had to put my dog Maggie down on Saturday.  I did make it to Dave's but was exhausted.

I'm glad you had fun at the con.
