Almost done...
« on: May 26, 2009, 06:09:53 PM »
Well, the wiife and I are set for settlement on the 29th, and all appears in order.  When the dust settles, and we're moved in, the first monthly game day will be held at the new place:

Feel free to Google the address - 701 Delaware Ave, Norwood, PA 19074

Yeah, that's a skull in the window.  However, if you go around the side and look at it from Seneca Avenue, you'll see the "M" on the chimney; it's for "McGee" of course!

See y'all there!
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Yes!  That's an awesome step!  The best is when you're moved in and settled, look around and think "It's mine!!!"

I'm gonna start this weekend.  I want to have the bathroom floor redone by the 14th, then I want to be moved in and ready to game by the 20th!

Well, we moved in a bunch of small stuff this weekend.  We started peeling the wallpaper to prep for paint.  We've got cleaning stuffs and we have been getting Homer used to the place. Homer realy seems to enjoy having almost a 1/4 acre on which to run and do his business.

Next step is to get cleaned and painted.  Then, maybe refinish the floors before bringing in the furniture.

All is still on track to have monthly gaming day on the 20th.

P.S.:  I performed my first home repair, successfully.  The toilet was on the fritz, but was a simple matter of straightening the clip on the handle lever.  Chalk one up for Dave!

You guys deserve this, and I hope you, Mare, and the kids are happy.  'Sounds like Homeboy is already ecstatic.

If you are having problems with Homer getting used to the change in roaming space, let Les know via a call or a pm via her Gun Moll nick here.  She went through it with her Shelties and as a trainer of dogs, can help.

I appreciate the offer; tell Les, "Thanks!"

I don't foresee any problems other than him wanting to define and defend his territorial boundaries with the neighborhood dogs.

FIRST POST FROM THE NEW ADDRESS:

The McGee's are moving in!

We've got the living room and dining room painted.  The new living room furniture is too big, so a wall will have to give it's life for the cause.  The dining room table is on order, and should be here by the end of the month.  The chairs are here, and being assembled.  The entertainment center is in, hooked up, and the Phillies are being watched!  The computer is up and running (yeah, I know, my mastery of the painfully obvious is incredible).

The tables are in the basement awaiting play.  The soda machine is cooling Cokes and such, and the games are stacked nearby ("A Moving Story," by Dave "Hans C. Anderson" McGee - ;)).

This Saturday is on, as far as I can tell, though you'll all have to envy Dodge as the player of the first game in the new house.  Thursdays have been a constant for him and me for a while, now.

Git over here and see the new house!  Those who need to call should try to reach me at the old number (which will, eventually, be this number).  If you don't get me there, get me on the wife's cell - 610-506-6540.

L8r! ;D
