Looks like there was a great group there as always, sorry I missed it. Where did the Castle piece come from? It's a fantasic piece.

The castle was something Josh picked up a while ago and lovingly stored in his bedroom where only he could enjoy it.

That sounds bad. Lovingly, bedroom, enjoyed and picked up with a piece of terrain (although beautifully done) all in the same sentence.

Sounds like the Amazon summary of a book titled, "The Joy of Terrain".

By request from aoi cobalt here are some pictures from the very end of T3 when Thom showed us how to improve your luck.

But before that let me set the scene ... It was the very last game of T3. I was facing of against the Big Kahuna, the almighty Prime our one and only Thom. I was using my trusty Crystal Lotus and Thom brought his Devout to the table. The scene of the battle was the amazing Jungle Board pictured in the UWZ book.

It was a long and hard fight the details of it are lost in time. But the Elves proved victorius in the end. To be honest they kicked some Devout ass.  ;) The dice gods were however not kind to Thom which greatly contributed to his downfall.

Here we see some close-ups of the elves as they clear the board of the filthy devout.

To appease the spirits Thom decided to make a sacrifice or maybe he just decided to make an example out of this treacherous d20. Grabbing a brick he to quote Jules Winnfield "struck down upon it with great vengeance and furious anger".

Gotta love it when you sacrifice a D20 to the gods of war!

I hope all the other D20 could see what happened to the traitor. So they will remember next time.

Does it help? If yes I have to do it next time, too. The dice is sometimes the worst enemy  ;)

In my experience with the subject of smashing D20's, no it does not "help" the next dice rolls. It does "help" with the general feeling of satisfaction that the thing causing the bad dice rolls,  i.e. the dice of course, has felt the wrath of vengence deserved of its lack of performance.

The smashing usually is followed by a "pep talk" to all the other dice in attendance that unless performance improves the beatings will continue.

In my humble opinion, smashing dice is a better alternative to throwing them. It gets the point accross of so much better to the other dice watching.

Of course if you talk to your dice you may have other issues in your life than smashing them.

Always look out for number one, but don't step in number two.

And I was going to sacrifice a goat for the solstice.  This seems more appropriate!
