Dear WarZone friends, i need your help!!!
« on: June 14, 2011, 03:08:41 AM »
Back in the days when i was a kid (still am) i remember that my local gaming store (Tradition here in Gothenburg, Sweden) had a large metal miniature. Probably a promotion model from Target Games. It was a large version of this mini.

Have any of you seen the big metal versionl before? I ges it must have been a cast from the orginal sculpted model. Like the Mezoguhl was of the Ezoghoul from Siege of the Citadel.

It might have been a three-up of the finished miniatures from the game.Mantic have started to sell the three-ups as specials.

I have no ide what a three-up mini is, the only thing i found on the Mantic site was the collectible minis, is that wat you mean?

The collectible miniatures are the one's I meant.

A three up miniature is done first for plastic production. They use a machine to copy the larger version down to the 28mm size.

There were also some resin figures done that were shown some place.

Then it was for sure a three up because the big metal version was identical to the smaller plastic mini.
