Karnophage Proxy - Cheap!

Hey All,

Through a very bad lapse in judgement, I ended up buying many many Dreamblade figures, and came across this one...







I have 12 extras that I would be willing to sell at 4 for a Dollar.  Or, you could raid your local hobby store to see if anyone is dumping their collection for pennies on the dollar...

Throw them on a 25mm base, and a bit of touchup to be a full proxy, or look like a different breed of Karnophage to fill in your existing KP wave....

A very good and cheap proxy!!!

I have recently ordered six lurkers (crouching and leaping) from Heresy for using as Karnophages. They are not as cheap as yours, but I think they could be another good proxy 8)

I think both of those could work quite well as Karno proxies. The Dreamblade one isn't as pretty as the Heresy ones but if you can pick them up cheaply that's an advantage. Because we all know that the only thing better than a swarm of Karnophages is a gigantic swarm of them. :D

Those Heresy figures are very nice.   I love what many new figure companies are doing with new sculpts.   We are in a new "golden age" of figures.   Seems like everywhere I turn there are new figs that look magnificient.

Wow, those Heresy miniatures are amazing!  But so is the price on those Dreamblade ones!  Tough call.

FYI: Looking at the picture I can see that dreamblade mini is called a clawkiller and a quick google search reveals there are plenty for sale all over the internets.  For example this site is selling that dreamblade mini for $0.15 each.

I was just digging through some old stuff, and I realized I have some GW Crypt Ghouls.  What do you guys think?  Passable Karnophage?  What conversions would help complete the illusion?



Mine are primed but unpainted and plastics that would lend themselves to conversion.

VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!
