Templates, who is hit?

Everyone who is just scratched?

I assumd so, but when asked i could not find the clear passage.

*edit: i just had a rule discussion with someone facing a orca+ft and he thinks if only scratched, its on 4+ (you know, like in _the_ game)

As far as FT's are concerned, if it touches a models base your hit. There are no partials in Warzone.

Indeed, any template touching any portion of a target's base gets the full brunt.  It removes the argument of... "He it's only touching a 1/4th of my guy's base!"

Better to keep it black and white.  ;)

I concur with Dragon and with Wedge.  The rules are pretty clear on this.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you on this, Nick.

I got sidetracked, after having looked it up.

Please, see the following pages:

P. 59 - 64:  Every template listed states "any model under the template is hit."

P. 130: Flechette Weapons - third paragraph states, "If the template covers any part of the model's base it is a valid target..." It is my assumption and opinion that Flamethrowers would adhere to this rule, too, as would any other directly-placed template.
