TOP SECRET: New Imperial APC
« on: September 07, 2008, 12:48:40 PM »
I know a few guys on here don't love vehicles in a skirmish game - me, I have a weakness for them...  ::)

Here's a conversion I did because...it was fun.  ;D

Stat suggestions anyone?

You could probably run it as a standard Vermin.

Either go with Archers suggestion or use the stats from the Bauhaus Scout Car and call this one the Imperial Lynx Scout Car

Looks like a Daimler armored car.  British WW2 recon vehicle, with a 20mm Bofurs gun, as I recall.

Actually, it's a German SdKfz 222.  http://www.theeasternfront.co.uk/Vehicles/german/germanarmoredcars.htm.  Mainly a light recon vehicle, it carried a 20mm cannon and a MG.  I absolutely love WWII armored cars, no matter if it was German or British.  The Humber was a British vehicle (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/02/Humber_Mk_4_Armoured_Car.jpg) that was similar to the SdKfz 222.

My mistake!   They do look similar, however...

Was also thinking that the British Whippet tank from WW1 has the look of a WZ vehicle.

Yeah, UWZ definitely picked their look by going somewhat WWI.  Mind you, WWI tanks were HUGE!  Finding a model the correct scale could be a chore.

some of the old 1/35 brittish tanks are cool - and you can modify them a bit. IMO the accursed GW's Leman Russ is a nice looking tank and on ebay can be bought reasonably cheaply.

Heh, define "reasonably".  I've seen a lot of GW stuff go for insane prices.  Of course, I could say the same for WZ stuff....
