Thanks, and in all seriousness, I would like to know how best to prepare for the event.  I've not gone before, and I don't want the fellas shot; I may want to sire children one day.

The most serious advice I can give is use cover or go prone...  I cannot stress this enough; either tactic will keep the jewels from being pinged... and ensure you have a chance to not only survive the paint flying at you but return paint back at your enemy.

Remember, return home with your honor, and your knads, intact!

Honor, schmonor, I'm just tryin' to protect what's important!!  All kidding aside, I'll find some armor, be it an athletic cup, or just stickin' a skillet down the front of me trousers.

I was, actually, serious about the t-shirt.  I do it all the time.  I even did it in a hockey game, once, when I forgot my cup - and it came into play!
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

When I play paintball, I tend to make a lot of use of cover and the ground; minimize  my profile and all that.    Standing out in the open blazing away like Rambo is for Speed Ballers and Hollywood movies.

If you want to last longer than 10 seconds a game and lower the Bruise Count, I suggest doing that.  Do not rely on vegetation to break up teh rounds on their way in....  I have seen someone lay into a bit of brush with twenty rounds in order to get one or two through the brambles.  (Yes, I've done that before- its a waste of paint unless you get him.  Then its a kill. :) )

Sadly, I will not be going- financial and timing reasons...  I work until 4:30-5:30 in the morning and getting some rest then making the drive down is  not really viable.  Coupled with expense, I just can't manage this trip.

Perhaps another time. :)

We fought at least five battles, and some had objectives.  I got shot a lot.  I had a blast and will gladly go again.  I guess it was like playing at Warzone where the model's scale is "actual size!"

Field 1, BAttle 1 - CTF (Capture the Flag)
 - As Joe Barlow and I leapfrogged our way up the left flank, I advanced ahead of Joe.  As I bunkered up against a good-sized tree, the deer in the headlights known as joshuaslater was standing in the clear.  I leved my marker.  The ensuing conversation went something like this:

Dave:  Josh, wtf are you doing?
Josh:  Waitin on a paint-check.
Dave:  Were you not listening when the field-boss said, "When asking for a paint-check, continue to defend yourself.  If you get shot while awaiting said check, it counts."?
Josh:  Oh.  Does that mean I can shoot you, too?
Dave:  Ummm...(fied two quick rounds while ducking behind the tree)...yes.
Josh:  Okay (seeing that Dave has not managed to hide his girth, completely).
Dave:  (immediately after getting hit just above the right ass cheek) OW! *&^%!, I'm out!

So much for being nice.  The next time, it will go something like this:

Josh:  Ow, ow, ow, ow - stop shooting, at least one of them broke - ow!
Dave:  Paint-check complete.  You are painted.
Josh:  I'm out!

;)
