Old school painting comp at Dakkadakka
« on: July 25, 2008, 12:21:24 PM »
This is kid of ate notice but Dakkadakka.com is having an old school painting competition. I've decided to enter it with a Warzone mini. The deadline is midnight July 30th CST. More info here. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/213512.page

So if you have a mini to paint and the time to finish it by the deadline I say go for it. This could be a way to draw some attention to Warzone/Chronopia and our little forum.

Interesting. I just primed two WZ figs to paint up just for fun. I'll try to finish them and send in some pics.

I'm trying to finish a mini to enter. I should be able to make the deadline.

There are several great contests I'd like to enter, namely the diorama one at Prince August but most of my stuff is in storage and the ability is not there.  I'm extremely frustrated about this.

Yeah I wanted to enter the Prince August contest too, I even have an idea but it is too big a project to finish in time.

I'd like to make a request to the forum members about the Dakka contest. Let's not flood them with new members just to vote for any WZ or Chrono entries. If you are a member over there vote for what you think is coolest/best painted/most old school.

Two more days, right?

And I'm also busy for the Prince August one, who needs sleep anyway ;)

Time to get back to my brushes..

In other words, I'm in!

Bugger, bugger, bugger!

I forgot the WIP shot, and my entry is almost finished...

AAargh! Should have read the guidelines more closely.

Right, that's out of my system. Thanks for listening ;)

Well, I can still use it for Prince August.

what kind of sealer?

I heard testors works best.

It was testors, it is the only kind I use. I'm outta Testors brush on flat matte sealer so this was Testors spray.

It could be moisture in the air or something that messes up the spray.
