Grid boards
« on: April 24, 2008, 07:53:35 AM »
I asked this question on the Chronpoia board awhile back,   have a lot of larger maps with 1" grids on them.  Is there a down side to using them?  Other than the ability to pre-count before firing?  I actually have a 4'x8' map with 3d terrain that would work great.

People seem to think it was OK.

My new question is does it make much difference in Warzone?

I think it would be fine in UWZ as you are allowed to premeasure. Chrono would be the problem as you need to estimate your distances before you declare the actions of your peices. I have some modular boards that I've used at conventions before and I've not had any problem with them.
