GRRRR!!!! Post Office woes.
« on: April 15, 2008, 09:25:49 AM »
It never fails.  Why can't they lose my junk mail, but my registered package from Brand X painting is still floatin' around out there somewhere, when the online tracking says it's been delivered.  Sigh.  Everything checks out on Brand X's end, but I'm left waiting after a serious outlay of cash on my painted Firstborn.  They should be in Fishtown, kickin' someones ass, not in a box mishandled by cretins.

Anyway, I'm just venting.  We've all been through it, and considering I'm not deployed in a warzone with people tryin' to kill me, i shouldn't really complain too loud.  'Still irks me.

I fell your pain Josh.  I sold some stuff on ebay and sent it priority international to Italy.  Somehow the package was lost and I did not know that priority only tracks the package while in the USA, sans no auto insurance for overseas package.  I ended up refunding the guy about $90 and lost my stuff in the process.  Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

Made a deal with a fellow forumite and the packaged opened while enroute from Europe. I only lost about 4 or 5 Shock Troops but understand the feeling. Hoping that both of your packages somehow end up where you need them to be.

Well I got through to a human being on the other end of the phone, and they've got my number, so hopefully the goods will arrive.  I'm hoping it's just en route, and they indicated it as delivered by mistake during the tax rush.  Thanks for the support.

Unneccessary sentence bordering on the political removed by the moderator

anyway, i did never had a package lost, but several at the tax-police that wanted import taxes (yes, even on privatley bought toys..). may be a reason for the delay?

i think italy is notorious for its mailing laws that ban toys or something like that. sounds ridiculous but packages like that do get lost or stopped a lot. has it come up in this forum before, or maybe i read it somewhere else?

I had the same issue with Italy. My first package was returned to him as undeliverable and the 2nd took several weeks to arrive.

To be honest, yes, I'll play them at times.  I'll definitely have first crack at putting them on the gaming table, but the bigger picture is that I want to eventually have all of the armies painted for one game, Chronopia, the best fantasy skirmish game, ever.

If someone comes over to my spot, I'd like to be able to say, pick an army, any army, and it's there for you to play.

I'm painting my Dwarves, all five clans, my Helios Elves, probably the Jade House Elves, and maybe the Obsidian Serpents.  The Sons of Kronos were purchased by myself and a friend, painted, but the ones unpainted I hope to finish as well.  Some of the big stuff is going to Brand X.  They did a great job on the Firstborn, and I'm using some of their painting to spur my own painting to better work.  I have so much stripping and re-painting to do!!
