From one slow painter to another - great work!

These are good Andy.  Are you like me where you send some stuff out to the paint service, but paint some armies yourself?

I have had these done for awhile now but did not have batteries.

I would love to paint more but it takes me ages to get motivated.Painting services are great if you have some spare cash. The last miniatures that I painted were for the Inferno game.Another cool out of production game that I am trying to track down miniatures for. Also trying to paint up some Spinespur miniatures.

Still need to learn how to take better pictures.

Nice job, I really dig it!  Just out of curiosity, did you brush a dark wash on the Harbinger or "dip" it?  Looks great either way.  Keep em coming!  :)

I like the pink lips and mouth.  Somehow makes the model look even more obscene... vaguely reminds me of a bad guy from the first Robocop movie, the one that got dropped into the vat of toxic waste and started melting (before he got splatted by a car!).

Reminds me in a good way!  I like your paintjob a lot!

Hi!

Thanks for the comments! I didnt dip him but got a bit carried away with the inks (ive been using Windsor and Newton artists ink as they are generally thinner than the GW variety)

Saying that I loved the GW chestnut brown ink but its not available anymore!

Here are some pics of my Tormented and some proxies for Risen Archers (which I got a long time ago when Target was still in business). I set these photos up after a Mordheim game. They are taken along side some of my miniatures from my Beastmen warband for Mordheim. They aren't the best pics of them, but what are you gonna do?

I never painted much more, but I've gotten a bug to work on stuff again. Maybe you will see more in the future.

Recently finished painting this Reaper proxy for the unholy champion.  Had a rough time with the standard, but it has paint on it, so stamping it complete!  Tried to make it look like actual faces that were stitched together, so some different skin tones in the individual sections.  Also my first attempt at wet blending on the cloak.  Takes a bit to get used to, but is a very good method.  Still need some work on my technique.  Drybrushing was my previous standard method, but sometimes looks too "chalky" for my taste.
