Need ideas for Cybertronic purchases.
« on: March 17, 2008, 11:17:18 AM »
I've got a bunch of Cybertroonic troops; two units of Chassaurs, one unit of shock troops, 4 mirrormen, and Vince Diamond.
That adds up to about 750 pts.
What should I add to get up to 1000 pts?

How about one more squad of Chasseurs and an Eradicator Deathdroid (always a crowd pleaser!).  If you need an individual, there is always Dr. Diana (of course I just happen to have an extra one I would be willing to part with..)

I would also go with a unit of Machinators...

One of everything!

OK, well for a realistic suggestion...

Get two squads of People's Volunteers, an Eradicator Death Droid, 4 Attillas and a Scorpion.

That will give you "the heavy hitters" portion of the Cyber force list. .

One sqad of Mirromen, Dr. Dianna, Machinator Mk II's, Cyril Dent, and a TA 6500, and a handful of Enhanced Curassiers would be the next step to complete the force.

Cyber has a well balanced army, and having at least one squad of each unit type will give you a lot of options depending on the scenario you want to play.  Plus, they just look cool!

...4 Attillas and a Scorpion.
The Attila Cuirassier squad can be max 3 unit and as specialist a Scorpion Launcher.

yes, but 4 Attillas allows for two minimum sized squads, with only one with the Scorp launcher.  Again, largely a flexibility issue.   Ideally, 4 Attillas and 2 Scorp launchers might allow 2 squads and 2 support, but then you'd be looking at a lot of grunt and elite units to qualify.

I'm looking to go up to 1000 pts of Cybertronic, just as a spare army. Right now I've got 2 grunts and 2 elite troops, and an individual at 750 pts.
So I would need a grunt troop before I get an elite. I could take a support and more individuals though.
But I would like recomendations on troops that are easy to find.
Thanks.

I use Void 1.1 Syntha troops as People's Voluneers due to the shortage of the actual figure.  They are readily available from a number of sources.  Contact me if you want a list.
