Dexcon Warzone events
« on: February 16, 2008, 06:28:37 AM »
Hey...

I plan on running a Warzone event or two at Dexcon (yes, hell froze over) and I will be needing some items to pull off one of the games.

As some know, I have gone through and converted some GW armies to the UWZ stats and want to run a variant of a last stand battle. A score of Space Marines holding the line against a horde of genestealers, gaunts and other such niceness.

I unfortunately only have about thirty genestealers... and for this game, I would need another dozen and about fifty to seventy gaunts of various kinds. As well as a couple Carnifex.

If possible, don't suppose I could get a loan of critters for this?

If not, then its Mutants (Orks) versus a Capitol Patrol style in a Battle at the Farm (yep, got orks semi-converted too)
**

The other event I plan on may be a tourney, depending on a few things, like terrain loans and how long I will be at the event- I will hopefully be working by then and I will need to save vacation time.

When would you need them by?  I have them but they need to be painted and are currently at the bottom of a very long list.

Also, I have farm-related stuff (crops, tractors, etc) if you are interested.

July.

And I'll go looking for figs local man.  Farm stuff however... would be great.  I want to firm things up before I go submitting events.

Does anyone know what points for Warzone at Dexcon (tourney)? I need to start painting and I heard it will be 1050. Is this correct?

***IF**** I am running one, it will be 1050.  I've not submitted anything as I don't know what my finances will be for the show.

Anyone going? I will be there. If we have a tourney it would be great. If not - not an issue. I just want to throw some dice - hopefully on the table and not against the wall like I usually do. F-ing 20's.

Also - if anyone need an army for use I have an extra Imperial army for Dexcon. I will bring it with me if someone needs it. Otherwise it is the Capital army - the Entire Capital Army.

Alot of things up in the air for me right now.  Still unemployed... and possible more Navy work which might keep me from going.

  Will advise. :)

Dexcon is July 16-20. No one is there usually until Friday. I will be there Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. It would be great if you can make it!

I am going to try to make it - it is a bit up in the air, for me, too.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!
