Does anyone know the rationale for having the negative modifiers for AR's at PB range?
I happen to know the rationale since Saint and I worked quite a bit on the weapons section. The reason the AR is worse close in is that pistols, SMGs, machine pistols etc need a place to shine. So it is a play balance thing. The weapon types should be different.


On the topic of knives I quote Starship Troopers

  Another reason is for the simple fact that no matter how advanced we get with firearms, Bayonets are still issued for those times when it shooting is a bad idea.
