The position is mostly a subtle Security position. The school is an alternative setting for at risk students. I walk around the Auto Shop and surrounding classrooms and shag kids back to class when they sneak out and help out where needed. I have a BA so I am qualified to be a Substitute Teacher and fill in at any class - campus wide - when the need arises. It is kinda funny because I probably have the least amount of Auto Mechanics/Auto Body Repair knowledge of any member of these forums and yet my title is Teacher Aide - Auto Shop/Substitute.

True but I also have to have drive time 14 hrs
each way. That makes 3 days. If I was really welcome, my friends might actually want me to spend a day just visiting.
so that would be 4 or 5 days. As Coldthunder's car needs a major overhaul it looks like if we are coming I will have to get my wheels in shape for a trip. I make no promises but if wishes are enough I will definitley be there.
