the idea is ok, but why does the

ELITES
have such a bad profile?

really, RC 7 does not cut it.. (for the role, at least)

point vice, they seem ok, if not to expensive..

i guess the best thing for them is to be in hard cover, beeing hard to kill ;)

Yeah the RC may be too low - we're play testing them a bit - and may bump it up a notch or 2.

What sort of figures are you using to replicate these troops?

In the title he recommends the GW Necromunda Delaque gang. These are still available, come armed with a variety of weapons and wear an overcoat. Others have used them for Dark Slayer Mercs. I would recommend the Van Saar gang from GW Necromunda line instead. They have a higher tech look with what could pass for a still suit ala Dune or searching other fig companies for Cybernetic looking figs. Zvezda makes some cool looking Cyber figs. Follow the link in the thread about the new recruits for Cyber thread. My only question about those if the Zvezda figs are 28mm scale or if they are significantly larger or smaller.

Ok...

For their points, I would venture to say you are fairly close, with Stealth making them expensive.

My advice for their gear loadout...

Cybnertronic has no SMG's to speak of so Machine Pistols is likely to way to go, bropping their points by at least 4 from where you have them now.   Having an LMG gunner as an option is pretty good idea- being an infiltrator mackes them very vicious.

However, I recommend the following statline, based on what you have and their apparent role (a shooty Infiltrating unit versus the CC Monsters of the Mirrormen...)

+1 CC and RC, +1 Strength, +2 AR and P1000 machine pistol for 1 point more than the points you have listed. (26)

LMG gunner is 8 more than above value. (34)
Demo Spec is +2 points and price of demo charge (if taken) (28)
Sergeant is +1 RC and + Leadership with the SG7000 and a P1000 for a total of 10 points more than the base value of the point bump because of teh Shotgun and Machine Pistol. (36)

Why both? Because it has style... :)

No more than two Demo specialists per unit and up to three LMG gunners.

Base unit size would be 4-8 troopers +1 Sergeant.

Great suggestions, Archer!  I like it.

You seem to have a good understanding of the point values.  You wouldn't happen to have a table with a breakdown of attribute and weapon costs?

A buddy of mine worked for target years ago and had sent me one once upon a time, but that file was lost several computers ago.

*IF* I had such a file, courtesy of all my work and vetting of material and such, I know I could not share such an item- most I could do is tell you what works and what doesn't with a Reccomended cost.  ::)

As such, I've the understanding of the unit constuctons I do from all the playtest work and notes I have... and a whole lot of trial/error on a few things.  I am fairly tight on designing Fluff-units that folks might want to take (see OHare's irregulars) with a bit of balance and reason for being

I might not be a designer but I make good stuff and suggestions.. :)

Gotcha -- I absolutley understand.

Well, all that being said - would you mind sharing your expertise on some Asteroid Assault Miner units I created using Alpha Forge's Asteroid Miner figs?

I suppose I can look at them and give an opinion.

I don't really see Cybertronic needing another infiltrating unit. I like the Demolitions expert, but I'd rather add him to the Shock troops or maybe Mirrormen instead of creating a whole new unit.

Using Van Saar as People's volunteers or something might be a good idea, by the way.
