Thank you all for the good wishes. I actually celebrated with my friends last weekend however yesterday was a good day. My birthday celebrations have undergone a radical shift the last 9 years. I used to spend the day running around seeing everyone and doing typical birthday stuff. Now it is more a time of quiet reflection and reserved for family. This is due to the death of my father on my birthday 9 years ago. While it might seem unfair or a raw deal, I have accepted it and adapted. I went to lunch with my mom and then went to the cemetary in the afternoon. My brother and his family came by after supper and visited for a bit.
I hope I haven't bummed anyone out or made you feel sorry for me, that was not my intent. I merely wanted to say thanks and let you know why I didn't have any wild and crazy birthday stories for you all.
