Well I can't speak for Thom, but I can say that the conditions of the contest for Hasslefree involved sending them the finished green, (the winner being decided by photo submissions I think) and then it would be their property, the artist having signed over ownership for a small payment, and the joy of having their name out there as a sculptor. I was shooting for something like this.
