As the resident Desk Job Post Monkey, I feel compelled to throw down the latest news from this weekend, Saturday, October 22nd, 2005.  I am fortunate enough to live in Philadelphia, close to EE's office, and to have made the acquaintance of both Thom Talamini and JP DeMare.  So we met for drinks at The Bards, at 20th and Walnut, and I got the low down on the hoe down, so to speak.

New models--For those of you wondering why Thom has not chimed in on the forum for some time, I can tell you, he is busy sculpting.  There are about 15 greens he is currently working on.  The Daughters of the Phoenix are close to finished, and those cool Risen are coming along nicely.  The Lotus Guard is also nearly done.  The Druin Warden for the SOK is about done too--from the Cerulean Mists lists.  (I couldn't pin down a release for that yet.)
JP (Anubis31) has been assigned the task of gettin' photos of these Works in Progress onto the EE site, bringing their organization in line with other companies like Reaper, etc., so we can all salivate like Pavlov's dog about them, and continue to pester them with questions about release dates.   I'm still trying to convince Thom to put the sculptors names by the pics in the store, including his own.   Wink   I don't know if I plied him with enough Jameson to get my Wolf Clan some archers in the works, but I made the effort.

New ideas--Would y'all dig alternate stats/load outs for models you already have?  For example, a way to beef up a current unit of say, Elven Axemen, with some sort of veteran status.  Or added abilities.  There was some talk of these stats/loadouts being made available online.

Well, I'm still nursing my hangover from the weekend, but that's been the update.  Cheers.

@Thom and JP--that was a fun evening.  Next time, perhaps something more sophisticated, like the ballet.  I'm gettin' too old to party anymore.

Josh,

Thanks for the update.

Was there any status update on Cerulean Mists?

Do we have a somewhat realistic ETA at this point?

From talking with Thom, he's told me he has a good price on the publishing.  When it will be released I'll leave for him to post that news.  With the preview of the Flying rules on this site, I think we're close.
Regarding the models: From my own experience, I saw the green for the Desert Wolf Warrior in July, and had the finished product in August, so I know the turnaround time is relatively quick, barring any casting problems.  Thom makes the molds in house--something I didn't know until recently.  So, my prediction is that Chronopia will see some of these greens in lead free pewter in the coming months.

Yes,

We have a wide range of greens that are in the final stages and gettting close to being molded for release. We do all teh molding and casting in house.  Its actually a lot of fun to do.. ( even better in the cold winter.. )

We will have some pics up shortly (next day or so) in the gallery section  of the web store of the OCt/Nov Releases.

You go, boy!  Get those greens posted and I'll get another round.  Perhaps Excelsior can work a sponsorship with Jameson.  Hm.

Hello there! Smiley

When i read the topic, i asked myself, how you deal with foreign greens. Is there a jobchance for freelancing sculptors, or do you only produce minis, who are created by EEs own design-team?

I ask that, because i´m already doing an new commander of the house Richthausen, whose design will have elements of Bauhaus Blitzers included. The work is running very well, and i even plan to create my own unit of Venusian Rangers. So i´m also asking myself, if those minis could be even massproduced by EE or if they will stay unique parts of my army forever .

What do you think about it?

Emil

PS: And please excuse my grammar. I am a german and english isnt my native language. So please look over the possible mistakes in the text. Wink
