Private Joe's Patrol WIP's
« on: October 16, 2005, 04:18:26 AM »
I finished the majority of my Grunts during the run up to the aborted Patrol 2k5 earlier this summer.  As such I've taken this first month to do figure planning and modding of my Elite forces.  I've always loved Pretorian Stalkers in art and in action.  The figures however lost a little something in the translation.

I've trimmed the body armor spikes and greenstuffed out the sorrier nuetered shoulder and back spikes.  These pics are WIP's and as such the wire anchors are only visible for the moment and some additional body/base work has yet to be done.

I've also included an unmodified Stalker to show how stiff and almost bored lookin the original sculpt feels.  Opening up the stance and filing the pointy bits returns a bit of the menace and grace of the art and canon.

when I'm lurking or idling on the boards i sit on the "who's online" page.  It's sort of a warning order for topics that I oughta be lookin up answers to.  I've noticed people printing this page out multiple times.  If I'd known it'd be popular I woulda been in a hurry to finish this models up.

As with all things, Real Life has a tendacy to get in the way and as so I have only recently completed (mostly) these mods.  As soon as I can get some primer on them I'll show off the finished results.  So save yer paper kiddies I'll be back to these guys shortly.
