Brotherhood Template Weapons
« on: October 15, 2005, 06:50:26 AM »
Should'nt Brotherhood have more template weapons to help in the destruction of the Dark Legion and all of its large monsters. Maybe 1 other squad with a rocket launcher and definently a Flamethrower or 2. Fire Good!!!!!! ;)

A flamer might me nice...

I mean, Mishima has them, and in the text describing the squad (Bushido Samurai) it specifically states why they have access to a flamer (the exact same reason)...

Well ... one of my favourite BHood weapons is the Infiltraring HMG/Flamer of the Archprimates.
Along with BHood's ability to call Fire Missions WAY much easier than ANYTHING else in the game.

I see no problem with BHood's ability to use template weapons. Remember that even BHood Troopers' GL specialist has an Indirect Fire weapon as opposed to Direct Fire GL specialist many corpotations has to offer.

There's always Miguel Sandoval, who can do Teleportation spell up to 18", and burn away with Gehenna Puker. The spell takes up 2 actions, so you'd probably want Miguel go last in the round, make some damage and hope for the initiative win next round.
I was thinking a scenario with him, where I'd teleportate Miguel behind an enemy squad, burning a couple, and with his 3 wounds survive the next round, where enemy squad remains would have to turn around and have only 2 ac left for shooting. Back up Miguel with a smoke cloud shot by another model, so he might actually pull this one off!

Sandoval is always in my force and if you get that teleport to work he is great. Of course, I have had games where that spell never happens.

Never happens, or does, to the middle of a rikety bridge... that doesnt hold his weight... so he falls 5 inches, and LIVES! (trying to burn said bridge as he falls was a nice touch, BTW.  :D )

Was still a great game, even though I eventually lost.. ;)

Think I said enough about this on the old forums but did take the trouble to mock up a Pilgrim model with an AC-41/Purifier combo, whadya say Thom, any chance you can make him legal?

Or not leaving out the 2Nd Dir people how about bringing back the Crucifier Heavy Weapons Specialist?????

Yes, B'hood lacks of any formidable support or specialist - I'd love to see crucifier with GP... and another spec. with deadlock drum - like it used to be..
i am really sick of that how they omit b'hood when they do something new: even the very fact that bauhaus grunt specialists carry better guns in their HANDS than b'hood mounts on his only support :(

conclusion: more FTs make me calm ;)
