Oooooo... a challenge.  :o *picks up gauntlet*

  You sir... are ON!  And to make the fight a semi-replay of our very first meeting, I will bring my Cyber.  Hope you have a big enough Mortuary detail... and flatbeds for the vulcans. :)

Cityfight.  750 points if you can find the original list you used that day (the Machine has not changed @ 750 since then).  Otherwise, we can go with 1k.

That list was all the Bauhaus figs I had at that time.  It included no Vulkans.  It was as follows:
  • 2 Squads of Ducal Militia
    • Sergeant
    • 6 Troopers
    • 1 HMG Spec
  • Jaeger Kaptain
  • 1 Squad of Jaegers
    • Sergeant
    • 4 Troopers
    • 1 HMG Spec
  • Blitzer Kaptain
  • 1 Squad of Blitzers
    • Sergeant
    • 4 Troopers
    • 1 PGL Spec
  • 2 Sandbag Emplacements

At 747 PC and 0 experience, it was decimated by superior tactics and a heavy odor of Brie.  If you want me to play this force, I can do so, but it is not a force that I would take to a tourney, any more - I have learned.

I will share my list that I would design for 750 PC:
  • Max Steiner
    • Laser Optic Sight
    • Havoc Suppression Grenades
  • 1 Hussar Kaptain
  • 1 Squad of Hussars
    • Sergeant
    • 6 Troopers
    • 1 FT Spec
  • 1 Squad of Hussars
    • Sergeant
    • 4 Troopers
    • 1 FT Spec
  • 1 Squad of Pauldron Hussars
    • Sergeant
    • 5 Troopers
    • 1 HMG Spec
    • 1 Medic Spec
  • 1 Squad of Vulkans
    • Sergeant
    • 2 Troopers

At 746, it is much better equipped to handle the "machine."  Bring on the toasters!  My Vulkans need new ornamentation.

If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

Hmmm...  Nice.  27 models.  32 wounds (?)  Two flame throwers and an HMG and of course the damnable vulkans.

The list I used way back when came in @ 740 points.  Had the following:

Mk1 Machinators x5
Mk1 Machinators x5
Atilla III x2
Atilla III x2
People Volunteers w/ Laser Sights (4 r, hmg, sgt)
Chassuer (5r, hmg, sgt)
PV Captain w/steelskin

That was then.

The only improvements made has been to add PPE and lose the HMG
If I can find my other Chassuer unit, the PV will go as will the the PV Cmdr and a second unit of Chassuers w/PPE gets added.

PV Captain w/steelskin

why do you foregoe all the jucy bits in favor of qustionable point savings? (mk1 vs. mk2 and no hmg? (rc11!))

why 4 attilas and no scorpion?
why PV with laser sight (i understand you want to change them, but why equip them ever with ls and not consider them, for example, chasseurs with steel skin?)

my suggestion:

this army is rather SR.. but so was yours

1 Vince Diamond @ 57 Pts
     Command Helment; SSW-4200P Heavy Machine Gun

3 Attila Cuirassiers @ 219 Pts + 1 Scorpion Launcher @ [87] Pts incl. Anti-Personnel Rockets
  Squad Comm Link;

5 Machinators - Mark 2 @ 221 Pts +1 Machinator Mark 2 HMG Specialist @ [41] Pts
          Extra Ablative Armor

1 Chasseur Captain @ 37 Pts Pin-Point Weapon Enhancemnt; Laser Optic Gun Sight;

5 Chasseurs @ 155 Pts +1 Chasseur Sgt +1 Chasseur HMG Specialist @ [28] Pts
Extra Ablative Armor; Pin-Point Weapon Enhancemnt

1 Cancer Mounted Machine Gun @ 61 Pts

Total Army Cost: 750

your army:

-> 47 W
-> 28 models (84A)
-> 10 CC
-> 2 HMG
-> 12 AR
-> 4 weak AC
-> no strong LR weapons

vs.:

-> 40 W
-> 20 models (60A)
-> 5 CC
-> 8 AR
-> 3 weak AC
but
-> 3 HMG (2 with RC 11)
-> 2 strong LR weapons (RL with RC 11 + DAM12 Temp+MV4+Jump and MHHG)

may look somewhat weaker, but the heavier firepower and range should be devasting

  Because at the time... it was all I had for Cybertronic and I try like hell to field what I am using (I am a WYSIWYG nazi on myself...).  And when I had used it, it turned out to be a very strong resilient list- especially on a cluttered battlefield.  The closest it came to being beaten when I used it was by Phil on the EE Mars table...

If it ain't broke, why rework it?

  I find it to be a challenging list to play and get max effectiveness out of.... especially since it is a very straightforward list.  IIRC, dave fought it a second time @ a dexcon when I lent it out.

  Earned me a bunch of cursing at from him... but thats alright.  ;)

  Never liked Vince and the MkII's, while tough, never really appealed to me.  THe Scorpion... I 'd use as a lone fig, if I were to use it.  Having him run around with the Atilla BG, while effective, limited THEIR usefulness to that of simply extra wounds for the scorp.
  While useful, it means their guns are wasted, an inefficient use of war material.  And Cybertronic is about efficiency... at least thats how I picture them.

You did pick up on the more important thing of the list- wound count.  over half the army has two or more wounds. :)

  And believe me... I am sorely tempted to field nothing but Mk1's and Attillas.  I've enough of the former and can gimmck the latter (termies w/AsM's)...

i don´t ment to fix it, just my thoughts how a imho "better" 750 P list could be.

I would like to see it perform! (especially if the enemy has deadshot and hmg..)

well, model vice it is not the best, but i just use mk1 as mk2... (and yes, vince has short legs..)

i disagree. the squad com link solves most problems (he can hang back 7´ and 3 attilas (imho best used as meat shields) are gone relatively quickly anyway) -> tac sense as a bonus

why does this make the attilas worse?
their MR guns can engage without hindering the scorpion, as well as other way round?
not to forget, it leaves the supp slot open, and cyb has a lot of good options.

while this is true, the W3 models have only 3 actions at a high price -> their cost effectiveness come as meat shilds, imho

the others are either CC 2 wounds -> easy to kill with a sacrifice (costs actions to sloughter and leave you standing close) + HMG´s (esp with deadshot)

third, the guys with shades.. W1

-> the W boost in your army comes with a price. the strong guys have either few A per W or only CC

i thought about that also, but i would miss the options.. (like a rl, sniper) a simple strike skimmer or 2 necromowers can seriously damage you... not to think of a GreatG

cu

p.s. i also thing that any two squads should generate a supp squad. some armies simply don´t have as good grunts as thers. capitol, for example, has a problem without the elite (AM), while imperial has the wonderful gendarmes, eg.
esp. at small scales, this is true (imho..)

It's about 25 to 30 minutes from the Cherryhill exit on the Turnpike. At least thats what it was for me on the return trip.

Come north in May weekend of the 19th when we have Talamania I . The details are being worked out and hopefully there should be between 13 and 20 people could be more. Lots of warzone and chronopia.
