Winter painting and projects
« on: December 21, 2006, 08:39:30 AM »
I've actually been getting some work going.  I plan on having a playable, painted Helios force done through the cold snowy winter season.  What are you guys planning on finishing?

Hmmm...

For me Chronopia-wise:
 - Elven spearmen for the Obsidians...
 - Possibly more swordsmen for one of my FB squads.
 - Actually trying to sort through the Dwarven army sitting in a box in the basement and starting them.

UWZ I got:
 - The Amazons; a pair of squads made from Shadowforge's Marine chicks.
 - Special Agent Mace, using the Grant figure by Hasslefree (frickin nice mini!!)
 - Some conversions using the Aliens Pulse-rifles also by Hasslefree.

As always, there is some stuff for the GW games I play to work on too.

Leslie has her FB Black Sister Army of Butt-Kicking to finish as well as her 40k Marine army.

So busy winter....

I've been so involved with our weekly RPG games and painting minis for that genre of miniatures that I haven't touched any of my armies in a long time.

My last works in chronopia were my Stygian.  I think I posted pics of a few of them on the old forum when we used to have a gallery.  But since then I sold all my OE Elves to a friend in Tucson.  I also sold off all my Brotherhood to a couple different buyers.

That leaves me with a completely painted SOK force though and half painted Stygian.  I guess I should break them out and finish them...

My Semai are done for warzone except for a couple of Legionnaire squads on the Horde side of the house... too much pewter, not enough time.

UWZ : dark legion = this I might start soon as I got color schemes floating in my head.
           mad max army

for other games.

Clan war: 2 full armies

Heavy gear: for now I going to built 2 demo armies.
if the guys like the game I make one full one.
might start painting this soon as I been in a mech kinda mood.

Legions of steel:
2 and 1/2 armies to paint ...(sadly the one project thats taking forever to get to)

I have almost no time to paint because my busy season is coming up  :'(
I dont know about you guys but I find it hard to paint unless I'm playing the army at the time.

I knocked out half of an apostle and a Fuglie.  I'm away from them so I'll have to post them when I get back.
VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!

I have four Dwarf Vulture Crossbowmen are half done and the rest of the force is undercoated.
Goblin force being bought and getting organized ready for painting.
I have a project in mind and am busy finding the pieces for it.
Found more Warzone miniatures in the attic and I am thinking of starting forces for various armies.
I have over one hundred Grymn to paint up as an alternative Imperial Guard force (these miniatures are so cool).
This is just the tip of the Iceberg as I have thousands of unpainted miniatures all over the house.
