I've seen both Alien and Preditor mini's forget the site.

There are predator minis called "hunters".  I wouldn't mind having these.  Too pricey, though.

Now where's the aliens? I need scads and scads of them.

They are called "tyranids" and can be bought by the boatload at GW.
VeezCon products:  Not as good as if they had been actually produced by a real figure company, but better than using your shoe to proxy with...sort of!

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr       :P :P :P :P

don´t call the cute little aliens "tyranidas" again!!!

1. said is illogical. aliens are from somewhere far away, while tyrants are very close and caring about the population (citisen, prepare to observed. nothing to hide, do we?) (<-ok, nothing related, just because of the words)

2. i also crave alien models to make a cool tyranid army (that is, without any (gw :-X) tyranids)
(my guess why you want them.. apart from having alien figs)

3. i don´t hate gw, i just can´t stand the idea to proxy anywhing with GW figs.. (esp. warzone)
(my stupid   friend got himself a chimera as a vermin APC....)  >:( ;)

=> aliens are giger-cool demon-like totally-inhuman malignant-intelligent infiltrators from a far away or a long ago place..  (see babylon5, ancient evil rising theme. "they can´t reach earth")

=> tyranids are gw-style demon-like totally-evil evil-bad massive-invasors from far away (more like the "wave after wave of a giant group of many"-concept-

the only thing the have in common are that they are aliens (in a vastly different setting) and are insect like with a queen suggesting a hive (with gw also a common mind, therefore a singular beeing!!!!!!!)

sorry to rant, but i was (am) an enthusiastic alien fan, and i hear that comparison sooo much  :) :) :)

Doh!

I should have known!

They make great Karnophage proxies, though.

Hmmm..

That's how I feel.  If I have to proxy, I'll proxy Warzone or Chronopia minis with another company's mini line.  Thing is, GW figs are so ubiquitious that one can't help to pick some of their minis for the sake of convenience.

I tend to stay away from GW stuff too, although I have used the less recognizable bits for parts here and there.

I have a lot of GW stuff and harve a hard time mentally separating their stuff from them.
