Cartel figs
« on: January 24, 2007, 07:44:42 AM »
Ive been looking around and havent been able to find any figs for Cartel. I just got some  Vor union soldiers that Im thinking of using for Security Police and the Sharpshooters. Dpes anyone know where to get figs or a decent idea for a proxy for Peacekeepers, Field Agents and Special Agents?

I have some  extra Flamers I can use if anyone has any ideas for the Darkslayers with their shotguns as well.

And finally what are the PCs for the Doomtroopers?

Thx for the help.

Copplestone has some really good Agent-types; you'll have to do some hunting through the catalog.
PIG IRON has their infantry packs; they are a "true" 25 to 28mm fig range (compared one to a Cap LI Trooper) and can work for PK's or cops
GW Plastic Scouts could work for SecForce too...
GW Storm Troopers work great but are not cheap.

GW Plastic Scouts and Arbites...  I use the Arbite GL as a puker.  however, their specialist games Enforcers might work too.

And finally what are the PCs for the Doomtroopers?

Check the FAQ.

I used agent models for agents, Capital HVY INF for Peacekeepers, Vor Union for Security Police, and I mad a squad of Darkslayers using 8 Old Hussar SGT's and agent FT and also Jake Kramer FT. Have the Capital and Mishiman DT's and made Imperial's from new Blood Beret SGT and HMG (replaced with Nimrod). As far as PC Capital-92, Bauhaus-97, Imperial-103, Mishiman-96, and Cybertronic-96 ;D

If you can find them, some of I-kore's  (now urban mammoth) Void range included civilian militia types. These could work for field agents. I believe Scotia Grendel has now the rights for the game. Or you can check out Urban Mammoth's new line, for figs.

a friend of mine has converted a lot of the Starship Troopers minis as Darkslayers, since the scale is close and the guns look a little small (they are supposed to be assault rifles, but they look more like SMGs), for Field Agents he found some old Shadowrun minis (not the current set, which is 22 mm, but the old one's that are more like 26mm) that look really good, and he also uses the old Heartbreaker Semai Nepharite (the woman with the pistol) as that squad's leader...

for his police troops, he uses GW Van Saar Necromunda figs that he has converted a little bit, but not much...

Got my Pig Iron infantry booster packs yesterday. They look good, no mold lines, sharp looking, but a tad bit smaller, similar in size to the boxed Necromutants set.

The Pig Iron Kolony Militia looks cool and makes a great proxies as well. Should have gotten a pack of them, too.

Urban Mammoth is still the distributor for the line.  The old I-Kore void figs such as the Viridian Marines would make good proxies and are available at Noble Knight for cheap.  The militia figs are still being offered as part of the Urban War/Metropolis line and come in boxed sets.
