Chronopia Poisoning
« on: January 11, 2007, 10:17:58 AM »
Nothing against the Chronopia fans (I know most of you double dip) but things have been quiet on the Warzone side of late.

C'mon guys!  Let's get in a deep discussion about the nature of the Dark Soul, or Bauhaus Venusian Geopolitics, or the price of Tea on Mercury....

I'm a little hurt Veez.  Poisoning?  I've got people playing both games at Between Books this weekend.  Warzone always sold more than Chronopia and had bigger events; I think now however, my constant enthusiasm is pulling the Warzone guys into Chronopia, and will swing back the other way now that Bill Meredith and I will be learning Warzone.

Tell you what Veez.
I've got a Muwahje nepharite (I think) --the one with the chains and the brains
I've got a Muwahje Doomsday Proclaimer--
What do I need to make a playable force around these guys, having never thrown a d20 for Warzone?

I'm going to put you to work.  Slowly, insidiously, the forum activity will be poppin' for both games, and Slater will be institutionalized sooner than later.

Cheers.

Bauhaus has little interest in Venusian Geopolitics other than:
  • Boot the Dark Soul off the planet and back to that wayward orb of Ort cloud debris they call a planet,
  • Reclaim (by force, if necessary - and it always is) all holdings the other belly-crawling, "freedom"-loving, sword-swinging, cyborg-programming sissies took while our backs were turned.
If sing, sang, and sung, sink, sank, and sunk, and drink, drank, and drunk, how is it that it isn't bring, brang, and brung, think, thank and thunk, and ding, dang, and dung?

Don't even get me started about bad, badder and baddest.  Run, ran AND run...again?  C'mon!

The following is a message from Candyman, a servant of the  Nephrite of Madness Muawjhe

We have been studying the history of the Corporation known as Bauhaus. It is my Lords wishes that as a Leader of said Corp., you should embrace the madness of the one called Hitler. He was a prime example of what happens when you let the madness take over, what you can accomplish.
Consider this your offical invitation/warning. Either you embrace the madness or the madness will embrace you (in force if necessary). We will join forces ( by choice or by an infusion of the Dark Symmetry) as the Venusian landscape becomes the next canvas for the art of the Madness.

You may rise now.
Shoot First and ask questions later.

You've called me out, and now I'll have to counter-attack by buying a Chronopia Army.

My only real obstacle is a lack of rulebooks.  Does anyone know where they have copies of the EE book available?

Based off of my FLGS I would probably have to go Stygian.

BTW, you need either Screaming Legionairres or Karnophages.

For the SL's you will need three blisters to be fully legal, and even then need to convert the two flamer throwers into regular weapon carrying models.  For the Karnophages you can try to hunt them down or you can proxy growler pups.  They are smaller but get the point across.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll keep a lookout for a rulebook for you.

Yes you do need to get some grunt forces in order to make a legal force for Muawjhe, but the real key is terrain!  Muawjhe is a very, up close and personal force, even way more so than Mishima!  I find Muawjhe is very good to run as an outside moderator where they are more of an objective or spoiler in special scenerios.  Most games that I participate in this is the role that I usually play as it adds another element to the game for the "actually players".

If you plan on using a Muawjhe army in a straight up game or tourney then, I would advise mixing them with some horde to make them more well rounded and, use your Muawjhe troops as the up close specialists that they are.   Ultimately, lots and lots of (MV 5) Karnophages!

If you shoot for the moon and miss, you are still among the stars.

Ugh.  I'm going to learn enough Warzone to play, but sci-fi doesn't seem to be grabbing me!  I'll have to wait and play a few more games before I go nuts.

Maybe it's just the nicotine withdrawal--eighteen days--still crazy.

In that case you are ripe for Muwahje!

Don't think of it as sci-fi...think of it as fantasy with guns.
