All Jackal Clan Legion Gauntlets have the Secondary Attack Special Ability.
All members of the Jackal Clan Legion get a -2 LD when rolling for Panic tests. The reason for this penalty is that the Jackal Clan Dwarves have come to believe that it is better to run and fight than it is to die today.  A player can pay an additional three points per model when purchasing the Legion to negate this natural tendency. If the extra cost is selected to be paid, it must be paid for every model in the Warband.

Jackal Clan  Legion Clawsmen and Leaders are each armed with a Claw Spike and a Shield.
Jackal Clan  Legion Gauntlets are each armed with a Claw Spike and a Brawling Gauntlet.

Claw Spike
DAM   ST + 1 (X2)

Brawling Gauntlet

PROXY:  Chaos dwarves, I am partial to the Ewal Dverger of and 4A miniatures myself but any of the correct size should do.

Thank you, but for better or worse I am not at the finish line yet. The rules are 90% done, The artwork is 50% done, the first two armies are 100% designed, printed and master moulds. If it was not for the encouragement and positive feedback this would be a very daunting proposition. The Knights of the Kiln take over 65 molds/moulds to make. So when I kick in to full production I will be managing over a 140 molds/moulds for two figure lines. I honestly have been very surprised at what I have been able to accomplish with a modest budget and doing most of the work myself. Keep in mind this is a side project to my 50+ hours a week doing my "Real Job". I doubt I will take over the world but a small community will have a very personalized game that was created out of passion not profit. I guess I will let the rest take care of its self.

John, congratulations on this great game. I'm glad when someone pulls out these kinds of personal projects.

I haven't posted anything here in over 5 years. Shortly after my last post, I moved and all of my minis have remained packed until last weekend. I decided to throw some paint on my SoulFlayer and try to complete one of my Tormented. Went with a retro 80's sort of colour scheme on top of some soon to be leathery flesh. The Tormented has some of that leather action going on too.  ::) Here's some pics

Open Discussion / Calculating DEF in second edition
« Last post by DARNIZHAAN on January 09, 2017, 02:41:29 PM »
I haven't seen this posted before, but I took a shot at how Chronopia calculates the DEF score.  On page 50 of second edition it states that DEF is calculated from CC and AR value.  I took a look at blackbloods mostly because they came first in the book and noticed this relationship:

AR value   Calculate using
25-26   DEF=AR-CC-11-Shield Modifier
23-24   DEF=AR-CC-10-Shield Modifier
21-22   DEF=AR-CC-9-Shield Modifier
19-20   DEF=AR-CC-8-Shield Modifier
17-18   DEF=AR-CC-7-Shield Modifier
15-16   DEF=AR-CC-6-Shield Modifier
13-14   DEF=AR-CC-5-Shield Modifier
12           DEF=AR-CC-4-Shield Modifier

For mounted troops, use the rider's CC.  This breaks down in 2 cases.

First, for the ogre myrmadon, double mounted kutara and goblin chariot, the def was worse by 1 than what you would expect.  The kutara lancer and goblin ripper beast riders, however calculated using the above formula.  This means that very large mounted units and chariots have a worse DEF than you would expect.

Second, very small units, such as warhawks and darkwings, have a DEF score that is better than what you would expect.

Notice also that this fits in well with the devout spell corrosion, in which a models def improves by 1 for every two AR it loses.

Another year and I'm still here!!!!  If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have done the whole "My body is a temple" thing instead of the "My body is an amusement park, and I want to ride every ride twice".  Any who, Happy New Year everyone.
