Title: Rafal Maj Painting Log
Post by: Trollen on November 19, 2012, 03:31:53 PM
Hi,

I'm back to chronopia. Damn It's been a while. My warzone and chronopia friends are back in town.
In this topic I'll post all my Chronopia Painting stuff. There will be a lot of it as I have some armies: BloodBones, DarkTusks, Swamp Goblins and Elves.
I'm also thinking about getting some new armies like Blackbloods, Firsborns and Sons of Cronos, Dark Ones and Jade House Elves.

I'm going to start my painting blog here with Obsidian Serpent Elves. I really like the army theme and colors.
I'm thinking of getting bigger army, but for now 1000pts will be enough. Here is what I'm going to paint for now.

That's all for now. It's exactly 999 pts with spells and upgrades.
I have some more Elf minis like militia and dragon riders, but My idea of this army was to make use of Axemen, Coz I really love those evil Elves with axes. And yes those axes would be covered in blood!
All text and minis would be also available on my blog BloodyBeast.com

Hope to start and finish it asap.

Sadly to say all of my elves are damaged in some way. Most axes are broken. It take me a while to fix it.
I'm going to start painting with heroes and golem.

Also dont you think the rules for Obsidian guard should be updated? I've found description that obsidian guards can cast spells.

I've just glued my Back Councils: Lotus Eater, Adamantite Golem and Obsidian Guard. Gonna base them now and than paint back.
I'm feeling like finishing gluing and cleaning on all minis today, but not sure if I have enough patience.

Also I'm going to make a display base for whole army. This wont be any extra stuff. It just has one job - to hold minis so they don't fall. I hate chronopia minis being dropped. The metal is so soft they easily bent.

Also I have a question. Do you use 25mm base for Golem (SZ3) or 40mm? I cannot decide.

I usually just use the base size that looks good... I guess I would use a 40mm base for the Golem though.
