The snow board looks so much better. Was awesome at first now even better.

From what I can see a great time was had by all. Masher and Jibba are still alive. Aoi Cobalt - missed playing you this year.

Nice terrain on the foldable table of doom. Everyone else - it would have been alot of fun to be there. See you all on the 16th if you can make it.

If you can afford the airfare, you can stay with any number of us for free, as we go out of our way to take care of those travelling.

We'd love to have you, and can pick you up at the airport.

Keep posting photos, and perhaps, someday, I shall get enough of a bonus to afford the flight out that way.

Hey guys, in case you don't know, this is Dylan... Aoi Cobalt's nephew. I had an awesome time playing in Talamania III. I am preparing for blood for Talamania IV. Can't wait. This might have to become a bi-yearly thing. lol Anyway, this is some of the pictures I took. I hope this is not overkill.(http://)

Dylan, glad to have you around!! Please put your pics in photobucket or some place so they don't appear as a red x to us.

I have to apologize publicly for misleading you in the ways of Chronopia. You can only summon three times in a game with your spellcasters, no matter what army in the book they are from.

I don't think you summoned four, and I don't think it mattered regarding your smashing victories, but it may come up again in future battles. Oh yeah, the training wheels and the gloves are off now, my son. I'm bringin' the pain next year.

I'm very happy you made it, again, and all of us found you to be a pleasure to game with.

Perhaps you can get out this way, or who knows, maybe I'll be in Ohio sometime down the road visiting family and we can get some games in.

All the best,

Joshua Slater

First up are some pictures from the Chariot Race. This was a really fun game that Dane showed us. He has made some really cool chariots for the various armies.

The winner of the race was the Dwarven chariot controlled by Josh.

Having a system like Thom's to base off of it is easy to look like a genius.
You guys were all top notch and I am going to make every attempt to bust down and see you guys.
You all were a total blast, it reminded me of why I love these games so much, the people...

Thanks to all especially the Mcgee clan for being such outstanding hosts.

Thom and I were talking, and at one point he made a statement that rang very true.

"If all we got out of having Chronopia and Warzone was this great group of people, it was all worth it" paraphrased, but the soul of it is there.

And he is right. Even if we don't hang every weekend, when we do, it is boss!

Be well
William Refsland (Dane)

I'm jealous! The closest thing I've got to that at my house is Conn Con III coming up in the summer. I have a lot more boardgames than minis games, but I seem to fit in a fair amount of measuring and rolling in the day.

Seriously, that looked like a grand time. I wish I lived closer to the NE, but I like the Midwest too much!

That sounds bad. Lovingly, bedroom, enjoyed and picked up with a piece of terrain (although beautifully done) all in the same sentence.

By request from aoi cobalt here are some pictures from the very end of T3 when Thom showed us how to improve your luck.

But before that let me set the scene ... It was the very last game of T3. I was facing of against the Big Kahuna, the almighty Prime our one and only Thom. I was using my trusty Crystal Lotus and Thom brought his Devout to the table. The scene of the battle was the amazing Jungle Board pictured in the UWZ book.

It was a long and hard fight the details of it are lost in time. But the Elves proved victorius in the end. To be honest they kicked some Devout ass. ;) The dice gods were however not kind to Thom which greatly contributed to his downfall.

Here we see some close-ups of the elves as they clear the board of the filthy devout.

To appease the spirits Thom decided to make a sacrifice or maybe he just decided to make an example out of this treacherous d20. Grabbing a brick he to quote Jules Winnfield "struck down upon it with great vengeance and furious anger".

Gotta love it when you sacrifice a D20 to the gods of war!

I hope all the other D20 could see what happened to the traitor. So they will remember next time.

Does it help? If yes I have to do it next time, too. The dice is sometimes the worst enemy ;)

In my experience with the subject of smashing D20's, no it does not "help" the next dice rolls. It does "help" with the general feeling of satisfaction that the thing causing the bad dice rolls, i.e. the dice of course, has felt the wrath of vengence deserved of its lack of performance.

The smashing usually is followed by a "pep talk" to all the other dice in attendance that unless performance improves the beatings will continue.

In my humble opinion, smashing dice is a better alternative to throwing them. It gets the point accross of so much better to the other dice watching.

Of course if you talk to your dice you may have other issues in your life than smashing them.

And I was going to sacrifice a goat for the solstice. This seems more appropriate!
