Title: Elven Swordsmen
Post by: joshuaslater on September 22, 2005, 05:46:01 AM
Is this unit the only one in the book that doesn't have a def mod from a shield in CC?

Nope, Devout Swordsmen Followers don't either.

I guess it's just factored into their armor.  It's just from a game mechanic, I thought that shields had an inherent DEF, which could not be avoided by Feint, and not just the bonus versus Ranged Combat.

DEF is determined by CC and AR score and shield. The reason the swordsmen don't have a negative DEF mod despite having a shield is that they have a fairly low CC score and a fairly high AR.
